It's something of a concern when we only have to go back 3 years to think wistfully of 'the good old days'. Are things really going downhill that quickly?
In passing, reminds me of a cartoon I saw years ago. Two mayflies sitting on a branch talking. And one is saying 'Ah, but look - I'm talking about ...oh, let's see...10, maybe 15 minutes ago.'

I'm not sure if Sloth applies to him.
I know when in office he spent more time than anyone before playing golf and watching tv, and he didn't seem to have a busy schedule.
But he does seem to work hard on his grift scams. I mean he has enough money to sit back and live in his basement, so compared to some people, he does do things.

My wife and I have around 25 Bibles between the two of us. We recently 'rescued' 3 leather Bibles from a plastic bin at a garage sale, underneath piles of children's books- pages getting mutilated. At $.50 each we couldn't pass it up.

I'm not at all surprised that Trump is doing something like this. He's never going to miss an opportunity to try and leverage his name. But as a Christian I'm honestly more concerned about the incorporation of the USA's founding documents. It makes it seem as if they are being treated as being divine as well.

You're not supposed to add things in the Bible. Also, God blesses all his people. Not just people in the USA. God's people would never waste money on this book.

It is very reminiscent of Jerry Falwell's Liberty Bible that had all the presidents' pictures, with Reagan's extra large. A friend of mine introduced me to the wonderful wacky world of televangelists way back when. Trump's campaign has long operated like a ministry with the false intimacy and constant sense of crisis - not to mention the grifting.

Trump's name is not mentioned on the site that is selling the Bible.
Trump is not referred to anyplace on the site that is selling the Bible.
The ONLY thing bringing attention to the sale is the endorsement of the former President.
If he had not endorsed it - this would not even be mentioned - but IMHO - those who are appalled at all things Trump, are appalled once again. The level of animosity is amazing. I think if the man passed away tonight - there would be some who would call him a quitter and he died instead of facing Joe in the election.

It assures visitors that no money from the sale of the Bibles will go to Trump’s political campaign. Instead, “GodBlessTheUSABible.com uses Donald J. Trump’s name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”
CIC Ventures, though, is a conduit to Trump — personally, if not politically. In his financial disclosure released last year, he’s identified as the company’s “manager, president, secretary and treasurer” and the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust is identified as a 100 percent owner of the business. The same entity also receives royalties from his book “A MAGA Journey” and speaking engagements. A person familiar with the agreement confirmed to the New York Times that Trump earns royalties from purchases.
