It is rather perplexing to me as well as 95% of regular members attending BISF are non-Jewish (gentiles). The last time I attended their service and oneg fellowship (which i enjoyed) there were only two Jewish men present (Kippah), while most of the non-Jewish men wore caps and hats. Am wondering if Steve no longer attends BISF.

This is Cosplay and is an embarrassment. It needs to change its name from 'Messianic Judaism' to Wackadoodleism and spare normative Judaism the taint.

Most members of Beth Immanuel Sabbath Fellowship (assume you're still a member ) would possibly hold to your view (parody and pretense). It's rather interesting that a congregation that is mostly non-Jewish is more orthodox than many MJ congregations that are closer to 50% Jewish membership.

A member of another Messianic congregation told me that BISF believes in keeping more than 613 commandments . Would it be a stretch to say that Beth Immanuel Sabbath Fellowship is possibly one of the most (if not the most) "orthodox" MJ congregation in America.

My take is that because Beth Immanuel Sabbath Fellowship is mostly non-Jewish and being that Pastor Daniel Lancaster is not a Rabbi that in order to compensate BISF goes above and beyond. It's as if they are compelled to come across as being more Torah Observant to the point then are some Conservative (liberal) Jewish Synagogues.

You're not alone Steve, as others over the past few years have probably felt the same, but bit their tongue with the result being some no longer post in this MJ forum. Perhaps your brash exaggerated sentiments have been encouraged by a certain Presidential candidate.

However, as usual, there are at least two sides to every polarized controversy. For example there are Messianic Jews that are not ashamed to consider themself a Christian Jew or a Messianic Christian. On the other hand there are Torah Observant Messianic Congregations like Beth Immanuel Sabbath Fellowship whose members are predominantly non-Jewish (+95% gentile), and yet quite orthodox in some of their beliefs one of which is not being referred to as a Christian.
