We all would like to avoid trouble in our lives, but Job tells us that trouble is a certainty in our lives. What Solomon is telling us in this passage is that we should not be fearful of the trouble. There are two thoughts that come from that little command. First is that God is our protector and guide. When the trouble comes, we are protected by God and He guides us through the stormy waters. Second, keep in mind that the plans and calling of God on our lives does not change. If I get in a car wreck or lose my job today, God still wants me to be a Bible teacher and communicate scripture to others. The plan for your life might be different, but the plan stays the plan – no matter what trouble comes your way and mine.
