But the moral and humanitarian case remains - because "God so Loved the WORLD that He gave" and that includes JEWs. Salvation is for the Jews as well as the Gentiles.

God has spewed Israel out if the land for their wickedness on two occasions do far. It is not unthinkable that God would do it again. At the same time, God has promised that a remnant would be chosen by Him to be the Israel after His own heart.
I ask this question about modern Israel. "Would we have supported the ancient Kings of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, before the first dispersion? If not, why do we give a blanket approval to an Israel that is no more holy today than its ancient predecessor?"

We believing Gentiles are grafted onto the tree of Israel, said Israel isn't a political body founded in 1948 by UN mandate, but the Israel promised to Abraham and the patriarchs, which finds fullness in Christ who being Abraham's seed makes both Jew and Gentile the one people of God and His promises.

The modern nation state located in the Levant is insignificant theologically and spiritually. It is of no more significance than the US, Canada, or Bhutan.

No other nation comes close to their significance because what happens in the world is determined by Israel such as “…there will I deal with and execute judgment upon them for [their treatment of] My people and of My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and [because] they have divided My land.” Joel 3

The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God." Isa 10 So we need to pray and support them.

Romans 11 includes "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." "For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
