I can but I will not. It is personal and contributes nothing to this thread which is not about me but about those who reject God’s gift to mankind.
I suspect your reason for not wanting to share your answer is because it will betray the fact you were never atheist. People don't choose their beliefs, and claiming to be a former skeptic / atheist doesn't give you any street cred here n CF. if you were truly interested in my deconversion, you would have asked, rather than project with the "religion not pleasing me" BS.

By all means, believe what you need to.

Then you were never atheist to begin with.
You're absolutely sure that you know the content of other people's minds? Absolutely sure that you know the past? Because that would be an extraordinary claim. No one knows these things for certain. "I was an atheist" might be true, but we can't know that, and we can't know that "I am an atheist" or "I am a Christian" is true. These statements aren't necessarily false, they just don't prove anything.

I have no idea what he, you, or anybody else actually believe, only what they claim to believe. I would never presume to project my opinion on another. In case you weren't following our exchange, he proceeded to project his reason for why I deconverted from Christianity, which wasn't even close. I responded in kind. I have no idea or not if he was ever atheist or not, however, my Spidey senses begin to tingle when I hear the 'I was an atheist/skeptic/agnostic, then god answered my prayer, and now I believe.' I call this the Lee Strobel canard, and I am incredulous of these explanations.

Thank you for replying. I understand where you're coming from now.

Here's the thing about beliefs. The mind is an observer and as such it questions everything. In the act of observing the world, ideas, and ourselves, we have called those things into question, as thinkers. This means that beliefs are more light and contingent than we might realize and fanatics strive continually to maintain their certainty and enthusiasm. And people change their minds anyway. History is full of people who change their beliefs from anything to anything else.

This is why as a Christian I am happy to say that my beliefs are a matter of faith. Not completely without evidence, but that can only establish probability. What do I really really know? I don't know. I don't have to. I just like believing because it's meaningful to me and I take responsibility for that. I think atheists should do the same.

I don't consider faith a virtue, but rather a vice, as it allows one to accept unsupportable claims. As an atheist, it's my desire to believe as many true things as possible, and reject as many false things as possible.

We are constantly getting by on trust, to function in the world as social animals - we go into public spaces hoping, but not knowing, that no one there will suddenly lash out violently. So we get by on assumptions. Beyond arithmetic I'm not seeing a lot of room for absolute certainty in the realm of beliefs, especially in the vitally important but essentially contested areas of meaning.

He claimed in another thread that we're born atheists.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was referring to the supernatural faith claims, not the faith of basic trust or assumptions. Did you intend to muddy the water by conflating both definitions of faith? If so, why?

He claimed in another thread that we're born atheists.

An odd belief. No one comes out of the womb with definite opinions on metaphysical topics.

I keep hearing evolutionary-psychology reasons for religious beliefs and experiences, and now it turns out that atheism is innate, according to Some Guy On The Internet.

You're absolutely correct, no one comes out of the womb with opinions on metaphysical topics. It seems you would agree with me, atheism is the default position.

You have to understand the concept of God to deny his existence. An ability that infants do not have.

More accurately, a child is brainwashed with a concept of god, the specific flavor their parents happen to be, before they're mature enough to understand the facts. How often do children from Christian homes choose to follow Allah?
