Prosperity > is our emphasis scriptural?

When I read "prosperity" in the word, I read that it mean your reap the efforts you put forth. It does not mean golden faucets or a Mercedes. It means paying your bills, taking care of your children, and having your needs met.

Actually, I did mention that (a few days ago), and I'll say it again... that there is no such thing as a prosperity gospel in Word-of-faith. My post was removed before you could read it. And, instead of using the word "interchangeably" would you consider the word attribute in it's place. Check both of these words in Google and you will see the difference.

I'm a little troubled with this one in both areas. Perhaps, you need to clarify this for us. Both of these areas "could" be construed by some as abusing God's Grace (a form of license to sin!) Joseph Prince, along with scores of Grace teachers do not teach this from my readings, so far!

So, in your opinion, does "whatever means" include lying, manipulation, bribing, etc. "to win the lost at any cost" which, ironically is sin? Are there situational circumstances that are not exactly "kosher" and, God may (in those cases) look at motives (hearts), and not necessarily the actions? Christians illegally smuggling Bibles into China, for instance?

de, did you read the full article? In context, the article is talking about the "critics" that gave word-of-faith the "prosperity gospel" label. Even recently, Creflo Dollar mentioned that there is no prosperity gospel. It's all about His Grace. Prosperity is just a "part" of His promises to us. (already explained).

No preacher wanna be called prosperity gospel. There is only 1 gospel, even traditional agree there is only 1 gospel. Gospel of Christ.

Sometimes it takes a maturity and humility that it is correct that critics label us prosperity gospel. because:
1. only wof believes GOD wants to prosper us.
2. Traditional believes GOD's will be done, be it prosper / poverty, healed / not healed.
3. Wof/pg belives GOD wants to prosper us

This forum has to be a a pool for all fans of TBN prosperity teachers. all people who believe GOD's want them to be rich, to have miracles, to have power, to be healed, to have abundant, and all associated words with this keyword: prosperity.

Luke 4:18-19
(18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
(19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

So the gospel is being preached to the poor, the brokenhearted, the captive, the blind, and the bruised.
The good news to the brokenhearted is = healing!
The good news to the captive is = deliverance!
The good news to the blind is = sight!
The good news to the bruised = liberty!
The good news to the poor = ___________________
Fill in the blank!!!!

Likely not a good idea to cross swords with the King and Lord of the universe!
I would let Him do what He wants... and if you can't agree, best get out of the way!

...and having your needs met... "with" an overflow of abundance to also meet the need of others. You are correct Dids that prosperity (isn't about) golden faucets or a Mercedes or whatever, and whether we have those things or not, or even more so, God wants His people to be prosperous in everyway and I'm sure you would agree.

I would prefer to say that Grace is the keyword here, and (through faith)... He gives Grace to us "freely" so we can receive healing, be delivered, and be prosperous... even though we don't deserve it. That's the gospel of Grace.

I still notice in #3 that you still associate (pg) "prosperity gospel" with word-of-faith. The critics can call it what they want... we call it Grace. Hang in there (de) as you renew your mind(set) with the Word of God (Romans 12:2), until the (Word) leaps off the pages in your spirit and becomes Rhema to you

c'mon harry, i don't have to agree with you 100% right ? i already cannot use word lure as part of evangelism, i was banned for doing that so i have to change the word with showcasing, a less "Catchy" word if you know what i mean.

Look at the Wikia that you posted: "health and wealth," "name it and claim it," "positive confession"??

These are obscene names. These are names of greed. These names put things and money and self in front of God.

And THAT is NOT what Word of Faith is all about.

If you could ever get the difference between being blessed and God prospering us and a religion that chases prosperity (from a wealth perspective) then you just might actually get us. You just might actually understand.

If you notice as you do a forum search, wherever you go... if the name word-of-faith comes up, the first thing you hear (in a very negative way) is, they teach a "prosperity gospel" (and we don't). However, you well know that we do teach prosperity in all forms... but it is not the gospel of Jesus Christ... which is the "good news" of His abundant Grace.

The greatest revelation that has come forth from WoF is that Jesus has redeemed us from everything. Everything is covered by the atonement. Everything is available to us in the name of Jesus. If you have the faith it is available because God never says no to faith and He never says no to the name of Jesus. If the word abides in you, it is yours.
EVERYTHING is provided for us in the atonement.

The question I have to ask to the doubters is this. If it is not available in the atonement and if it cannot be receive when praying in the name of Jesus... then how exactly do you presume to receive these things? If it could be obtained without the atonement and without the name of Jesus.... then why was Jesus and the cross needed?
There are so many believers today who think that God acts outside the tenets of the Gospel. This is what I can mere theism. These ones think that God will save, heal, deliver, and answer prayer via some means or contract outside the redemption that is provided in Jesus.
This is not so. It is not Christianity. It is not the gospel.
He has given us ALL things that pertain to live and godliness through knowledge of HIM> that is Jesus.

2 Peter 1:3
(3) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

There is nothing that we receive outside His redemption.
This includes prosperity in this life.
If not by Him.. they how?

You did read my post #150, right? It's all about (Romans 12:2) renewing your mind(set) with the Word of God. Also you said here in Post 146...


Your quote here, you have it right, (de)! There is only (1) gospel, the Gospel of Christ... which is Grace personified. Read your own quote here over and over, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

We are discussing other issues: most of senior member here don't agree with word "prosperity gospel". it sounds greedy, lustful, money, etc. my advice to them is clear: do not think it is greedy, change your mindset, enjoy the word prosperity gospel, instead of pushing people not to use the word prosperity gospel.
