Does Jesus protect those whom are not baptised but accept him as their Lord and Saviour? I know it is best to get baptised but my local Church only baptises people after they regularly attend Church and since I am a new Christian I'm not a regular yet. Will God still protect me from danger if I pray and ask for it? There are people at my college who give me weird looks and look as if they want to fight me, all I want to do is do my studying and gain my qualifications, I don't want to fight and get involved with things like that. I'm learning to be compassionate towards others as it is taught in Christianity and fighting is the complete opposite of that.

Bless you!

Yes the Lord most certainly will protect you regardless of you being baptized and being as how He loves you deeply, He has been protecting you throughout your life, even before you knew Him :) You're exactly right, fighting is exactly the opposite of loving ones neighbors and praying for those who persecute you. Ask the Lord to keep you safe, and read Psalms 91, where it talks about how the Lord will send His angels to protect us that we might not even dash our foot against a stone! Imagine, if He's only protecting you from tripping on a stone, how much more will He protect you from people who may want to start a fight? But also continue to lift up in prayer those around you who are not saved. You are now a light that the Lord has planted in the midst of them and so people will begin to notice and pay more attention to you as they are drawn to the light of God that they see in their midst :) God bless you :)

Being a follower of Jesus Christ does not guarantee you physical safety. The history of the Church is full of martyrs and people who suffered greatly at the hands of evil people. Jesus himself suffered, so it should not be a surprise that he may lead us to do the same. What we may count on is his presence with us through whatever he has us walk through. "...And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20 ESV)

Psa 91:2 KJV
(2) I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

God is fully motivated to protect you; but there are three things you must do to stay in His protection - when feelings of fear come, say, believing: 'the Lord is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in him will i trust'; and you must strive to perceive and follow His leading.

Luk 13:1-5 KJV
(1) There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
(2) And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
(3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
(4) Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
(5) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

no doubt God was trying to tell the 18 at Jerusalem to not go to the tower of Siloam that day - since they were likely israelites, they likely knew about the 91st Psalm, overrode the 'check' they had about going to the tower, went anyway, and found themselves in a place where the devil had planned to destroy them.

Mat 2:13 KJV
(13) And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

even Jesus, when He was very young, left with His family to go to egypt to escape Herod's efforts to kill Him, rather than claim the 91st Psalm and stay where they were.

Rom 8:13-17 KJV
(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
(15) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
(16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
(17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

now that you're a Christian (welcome to the Family btw!!!), you can perceive God's leading and decide to follow it, and you are a child of God because you strive to be led by Him. the more you know about what He's already said to you in His word, the easier it will be to perceive His leading; as He will never lead you contrary to His word.

this will help:

This can be a confusing issue. At least it was for me for a long time.

You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. You will be hated by all for my name's sake.
But not a hair of your head will perish. -Luke 21:16-18

We are protected spiritually. Once we are in Jesus, no one can snatch us from the Father's hand. But we still walk in this dark world, and we suffer at times. The Lord's promise here is not only spiritual protection, is also is ultimate restoration of all that may be lost.

Nonetheless, because this world is an evil battleground, we need to walk circumspectly and wisely. See Eph 5. It's often best to try to avoid confrontation with people who want to pick a fight. I had three instances just yesterday of that, and I saw clearly that if I got involved it would drag me down to the other person's level. What's more, I was warned obliquely in a dream just beforehand what was going to happen, so the Lord was protecting me.

As far as Baptism, even the Catholic church, which is about as formal as you can get on the subject, recognizes "baptism of intent". If you are doing all you can to obey the Lord and comply with the Scripture, you are a faithful son regardless of whether all your "i"s are dotted and "t"s crossed. God looks on the heart, not appearance or circumstance, and the new circumcision is in the heart and of the Spirit, not by the letter (Rom 2.29; cf php 3.3). Certainly get baptized as soon as you can, which is as I see it the Scriptural way to go. I can't find one instance there of delay of baptism, and indeed in every instance I know of there seems to be a compulsion to get it done forthwith. I'm not at all clear on why churches put this off. It seems they are putting church rules above the scripture. But if this is the way it is, do your best in the situation.

As others have said you are protected but it doesn't mean life will be perfect from now on. There will still be trials and tribulations because sin exist in the world. And sometimes when we pray the answer may be yes, no or maybe (aka may not answer until later).

Thank you all for your replies! I understand that I will still go through hard times, that is the nature of our lives on Earth, as long as the Lord is with me I do not care what happens, as he is the supreme being, the supreme ruler of existence and creation, if he is protecting me then why should I care about anything else that tries to harm me? I'm in a place in my life now where I have no choice but to look to God for help. I'm in a sort of rock bottom right now. But I am so grateful to God for this because it's in this part of my life where I have truly realised I need to look to God and trust in him. Through hardship we remember and trust in the Lord.

Bless you all! I feel so happy since I have joined this forum, you all are very helpful and kind. Thank you!

God will bless your willing to obey him and be baptised into Christ.
I think, well in my experience, making a public declaration of my faith was a turning point in my walk with him and a peace and sense of renewal came when I was baptised, so don't put it off - I encourage you. You can be baptised anywhere there's water as long as amongst believers and it's in Jesus name. You don't need to do this inside a church building.

I think I'd like it better in a Church, to be in the house of the Lord just seems more appropriate to me. I do really want to be baptised and I know that God will eventually put me on the path to be able to. I know this is the way forward because ever since I accepted Jesus as my Lord and saviour I've felt more at peace, a more stable feeling than when I was a Sikh. Sikhism is a very peaceful religion and I respect it highly but I always felt that I was missing something, now I know it was someone, and that someone is Jesus and I will always love him.

Bless you!

The enemy is roaring around us like a lion; seeking whom it can devour. Stand steadfast and remain faithful. Do not respond in unkindness, but in kindness and remember that the schemes of the devil are many and many follow after it. LOVE is the guiding light that all true believers must attend to. We follow JESUS the son of GOD in principle and have nothing to do with those deeds of darkness.

Galatians 5:13King James Version (KJV)
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

"What is the DARKNESS you might ask?"

Quite simply put the OPPOSITE of LOVE! The flesh nature according to scripture.
Galatians 5:19-25King James Version (KJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Yet......

2 Timothy 4:3-15King James Version (KJV)
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

If there is one thing I can administer with is the TRUTH; for he is the way, the TRUTH and the life and no lie was found in him; that being JESUS the son of GOD for whom was found blameless in the eyes of GOD.

"How do we represent LOVE in our lives?"

The above prescribes it's opposite by definition and LOVE is not as in the form of idolatry towards merchandise, items and things, but to others and our self. By the very definition in context by the principles of faith...to LOVE is the leading works that we must strive and live for.

The polar opposite by definition is the prescription for acting out of LOVE....that being hatred, discord and in general malice and those practices that corrupt our self or others. Many follow this path either in action or thoughts or intentionally or by the "mind" of the lost. The lost being those whom are blinded and can not see without intention and need to be called to the grace of GOD.

The holy scriptures...

2 Timothy 3
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Baptizing in the waters of life is necessary and is a ritual of immersion or dispersing water on those to be graced by GOD as a sacred act of renewal and rebirth as a Christian.

Praise be to GOD the heavenly father and his son lord JESUS CHRIST forever>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
