I'm worried about a former coworker. She's single again, and judging by all of the moping statuses she's putting up on FB, really struggling with it. I wish there were something I could do. I'd have to be very careful not to give her the wrong idea though.
True. But I like to think at the end of the day, sincerity in your actions towards her, if you wish to go through with helping her, will win the day without her getting the wrong impression. ^_-
Just helped my mother get most of the cooking done for Thanksgiving tomorrow, but it won't be as lively or enjoyable a dinner with just us two now that Praew and Camilla are gone back to their own home countries. I miss them both already. Praew was the perfect younger sister I always wished to help build up and be a good friend to, and Camilla was the perfect younger sister I never had to be able to defend from bullies and yet totally pick on her myself.
Luckily Camilla might be coming back to Houston next summer to live for her college education, at least, so I'll have someone to annoy again about her taste in pop music. =P
But speaking of that Thanksgiving preparation, afterward my mother and I sat down to find an interesting little TV adaptation of one of R.L. Stine's infamous book series on Netflix, called "The Haunting Hour". And honestly, for a show that even most kids at the age in which I was a fan of R.L. Stine's work would not find scary at all ... the first episode of The Haunting Hour was actually pretty darn creepy. It was about this little girl who gets a life-size doll from a company called "Really You", and the doll ends up coming to life and wanting to become the real girl, to where she herself will trade places and become the doll. My mother recognized the little girl as some actress named Bailey Madison who's been on a lot of other shows, and I must say, if her acting here on this show represents her average ability, then I'd say she's phenomenal ... at giving even a grown man nightmares. This little lass is on her way when it comes to Hollywood.
Seriously, if you've got Netflix and find The Haunting Hour show on there, check this one out. I don't remember the name of the episode, but it was the very first one in the first season.
