This is what I tend to so; wear them on special occasions.

It's probably also part of the reason why your mom let you do it in the first place, years ago. I remember that years ago guys did make the choice about which one to do, left or right, but now it seems that both are usually done.

I think both are done just in case you change your mind there is always the other one already done.

I changed my mind - thought right then decided left so both ended up getting done - no more piecings for me.

I guess also that you have to hand it to your mom for having figured quite profoundly the style and fashion of tattoos and earrings, seeing as it's your name that you said she has gotten herself inked with, and it was she who took you to do your ears.

Well, you've obviously extremely special to her by her desire to tattoo herself your name; and I guess it's a two way thing, if you also respect her advice about getting inked and earrings, whatever.

True, we have respect for each other and as a family unit we are supportive of each other.

Great. And by the way, women often do know a great deal about jewelry and, increasingly, tattoos. Do you remember if it was your dad or your mom that first got ink? years ago, often dad would have gotten it first.
