I don't know any church that believes any one sin leads means hell. Who are you referring to? Did you have a bad experience with someone? The Catholic church believes that a "sin unto death" (1 John 5:16) means spiritual death aka hell, but the overwhelming number of sins they consider to be "sins not unto death." And at any rate you can always repent.

According to some creeds, you have to be perfect or you are damned to torment (unless of course, you believe in Jesus.)

Oh THAT. I would say that is true about ALL Christians. It is based on what James says combined with what Paul says:
James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death (spiritual death)

Do u mean Heb 10:26...for if we go on deliberately sinning after once acquiring the knowledge of the truth there is no longer any sacrifice to atone for our sins?
That would be the equivilent of committing a sin not unto death repeatedly until you silence the voice of the Holy Spirit, severing your relationship with God, which is what a believer can do.

I have also stated that according to scripture a believer can commit a sin unto death (spiritual death) which can similarly sever their relationship with God.

But the OP is talking about what NON-believers do, which is that breaking ANY law means they have broken them all, and the penalty for that is spiritual death.
