I would encourage you to find someone with a different background than you to study with. You'll probably grow more because you have someone challenging your beliefs.

I am a part of the Church of Christ with a conservative approach, but currently I am reading though an orthodox Jewish Tanach (The Stone Edition of the Artscroll Series), complete with Rabbinic commentary.
It has been an interesting read, and eye opening in some areas. And if I stumble upon a verse that doesn't seem translated "correctly" or read a strange comment, it at least challenges me to look at the matter more deeply...and either prove my initial viewpoint correct, or help me change my viewpoint on something.

I'd be glad to study with you. But I'd probably prefer commenting in a more private environment.
