He comes on several Christian stations on direct tv.
I was watching an episode on YouTube today. We do not get cable so we have to watch it on YouTube.
I wonder if he is on one of the ROKU stations?

His whole show is dedicated to end times, prepping, selling dehydrated food, duct tape, generators, etc.

I'd like to hear your impressions if you've seen it.

As a general rule, I don't regularly watch their program but I do like to 'check in' every now and then to see what they are saying, and mostly, what they are selling. I've not purchased anything from them, but I do like to listen to their program sometimes for helpful 'prepping' ideas they might be sharing.

I listen rarely. I researched a generator he was selling, and found it would be good for running maybe one light bulb, and it wasn't cheap. I do listen to Trunews occasionally, and quite often it's very good, though its scope is wider than just prepping.

I peeked in on his show and the short time I was watching it they were selling some sort of emergency food. My opinion is to avoid anything he sells if it appeals to you at all go looking around elsewhere for something similar you can typically do better for cheaper with minimal research. I think people who are considering prepping should first think very hard about the need for such in that in some areas a lot of prepping is advised and in other areas it is easy to over prepare to the point of wasting effort and funds and even space. An average generator people see cost about 500 dollars and up and unless you really weigh the need of it properly you could easily spend hundreds of dollars to save a fraction of the cost spent in food that is "saved" by it. One can find plenty of forums and information online to get prepared that have experts who make nothing off of you for their advice. At one time I wanted a fancy invertor generator that costs about 1000 dollars but realized that I may only use it once every 15-20 years. I invested in battery powered devices totalling a few hundred dollars that I can use now instead.

Same here ... I would really like to try that water purifier Jim Baker sells. I've had problems with some of Jim's guest, but forgive even as I have been forgiven.

Miss you a lot mourningdove ... your post use to make my day.

I don't watch him.

Personally I just like to focus on saving money and minimizing my impact and preparing for disasters like hurricanes.
I don't have the problem of hurricanes where I'm at.... tornados and ice storms are the only issues here

Thank you for your kind words, geetrue. I appreciated your contributions to that forum also.
Good to see you here, too ... and what a neat idea for a forum is this one! :)

When it comes to some of Jim's guests, etc., I apply the 'chew on the meat and spit out the bones' principle, and that works for me. But being totally new to 'prepping', I'm able to watch the show and learn some things I didn't know or hadn't thought about before ... and frankly, watching the show helps to keep me 'motivated' with my prepping efforts.

I do pay attention to the products he sells. Yes, that water purifier looks like it might work well. Jim also periodically offers an emergency radio (solar powered/battery/crank, etc.) and a donation of $60 plus S&H is required for it. $60 seemed abit much, but Amazon had a similar product for $30 ... and so we bought it! ('Such a deal!') :)

Personally I either recommend a solar power kit or investing in an alternate way to charge rechargeable batteries instead of solar/crank gadgets as it is far better to be prepared with batteries to feed all your needed devices than to spend sometimes extra money on solar and crank stuff and solar has its downfalls when there is little sunlight it won't help you much and crank power will one day wear out on you or wear you out. I have a little sony radio that runs a half day off a single AAA battery using headphones they make radios that run off all sorts of types of batteries even have them with lithium ion batteries and can be charged via USB.

lol ... hadn't thought of it, but I do imagine that hand cranking could eventually wear one out!
(Thanks for the recommendations.)

I watched his program once or twice. He's exploiting peoples worst fears as he finds a new avenue to con people. Just as he did through other methods back when he was with Tammy Fae.
