Nice story.

Yes. Some of us enjoy reading and learning facts about the world and history.

I suppose other people enjoy engaging in empty-headed twaddle.

A pet peeve of mine is how often the book of the Revelation is called "Revelations". "Revelations" isn't a book in the Bible, it is the book of the Revelation, or the Apocalypse if one wants to be more traditional. Most specifically it is titled the Apocalypse (or Revelation) of St. John. As it is the revelation (Greek: apokalypsis) which God gave St. John of Patmos to write down for the seven churches in Asia.

And I'm plenty familiar with St. John's Apocalypse, but since I don't subscribe to wild-eyed futurist interpretations of the text I'll wager we'll have little to discuss as pertains to the meaning of the text.

The book is the revealing of Christ. His revelation.

So does this mean you oppose the antichrist laws on Sodomism?

This is not about just the US. Nor about whether governments are increasingly antichrist.

Alright, then if I go move to a country that does have laws restricting Christian worship and practice, I'll make sure to keep your warnings in mind. Though I wasn't planning a vacation to Saudi Arabia or Iran.

There was an entire thread debunking this story. The Hitching Post was a for profit business which provided both sacred and secular weddings. However when they discovered that the local non-discrimination laws meant they would need to provide services to same sex couples, they decided to sue the city, instead of just changing their business registration to being a religious organization.

Schools and churches will be sued and affected. Not up for discussion.

Yes, but the book is called the Revelation of St. John.

The Gospel of St. Mark isn't the Gospel about Mark, but the Gospel about Christ, but it's still called "The Gospel of Mark".

What antichrist laws? Perhaps you could name one? Though it seemed you couldn't before.

No one asked you where you planned to travel. Some churches feel fine with tolerance of a tibial sin. So far I don't see much about where you stand. Cut the blather and whining and contribute.

And what proof do you have for this?

He said it wasn't up for discussion. So of course he doesn't have proof, it is because he said it. I mean, like, duh.

Says you. I disagree that believers should surrender all that they have and worked for, and that God gave them like dumb sheep.
They didn't surrender. If they surrendered then they would have renounced their faith but they didn't. Losing the building you traditionally worship in is not surrendering. When has church ever equaled building?

So you're not interested in my possible vacation plans? Too bad, because I was thinking that perhaps you and I could have ourselves a little getaway to Barbados.

Since you missed the most important fact about the book, I pointed it out.

Oh? Shuts you down? Why would they? Do you preach against abortion and Sodomism?
Just because I don't believe the government has the power to shut down traditional Christians churches today doesn't mean they won't have that power in the future.

Being shut down is not the concern. The concern would be having to comply with bad rules.

That's why the persecuted church meets in secret aka underground because they no longer follow or comply with the rules set up by the government. Usually the laws include terms of "you are not allowed to be Christian".
Persecuted includes forced compliance with bad laws.
