We always say we will do things for Christ later, but that never happens.

Romans 13: 11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. (NIV)

Tomorrow - there are tons of songs about tomorrow, and we both dream and fret about tomorrow. When it comes to work, we like to do it tomorrow. Why, because tomorrow is always the day that never gets here. We will promise the world and commit to just about anything as long as it is tomorrow. Yet, in today's passage, Paul tells us it is time to WAKE UP!! It is time to stop saying tomorrow and start living for Jesus today. We have spent enough of our time talking about the things we are going to do and the lofty tasks we are going to accomplish for the Lord and start doing them now. When Paul says that our "salvation is nearer than when we began," what he is saying is that there is coming a day when we will come face to face with the Lord Jesus. At that point, there will be no more working for Christ and trying to draw the lost to Jesus or build up the believers. At that point, all efforts will be ended. There will be no more working for Christ. So, if you plan on living for the Lord, you had better wake up now and get to it. The time is short and the chance to work for Christ is as well.
