My name is Bill and I have been a Christian for about 60 years. I was raised a Methodist however that is irrelevant since I was not saved. I had not trusted my life to Christ nor accepted Him as my Savior. When I was 14, I joined the church and I thought that was all that was necessary. WRONG!!!!!! Later in life at the age of 21 my wife drug me to her church (Baptist) and after a lot of prayers of family and friends I was convicted of being a counterfeit Christian and prayed, repented and accepted Jesus as my Savior. I would like to say that I have served faithfully and continuously my lord but that would be a lie. There were periods of intense awareness of the Lord in my Life and also periods of desert like experiences where I rebelled and pretty much lived a worldly life. I could say I didn't commit any big sins but what is a "big sin". Kinda like being a little bit pregnant. No degrees of sin. Partial obedience is disobedience. Served 26 years in Military and am blessed with a Godly Wife, Son and Daughter. God has blessed me far beyond my wildest expectations in all areas of my life. I have experienced the horror of divorce with both of my children but God has blessed them with a fantastic personal love and belief in our Lord. I am over 70 years old look back on my life with gratitude to God, sorrow for my disobedience to God and bad decisions God has given me a special challenge as I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder about 20 years ago and He has taught me to lean on Him and that His Grace is sufficient. I look forward to fellowshipping with brothers and sisters in Christ on this forum. Thank you for accepting me.
