We are not always guided by dreams. We are guided by the Holy Spirit. Dreams is to warn the believers to be careful of the plans of the devil.
Job 33:15-18 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

I think we all would love this.. yet since we are free and still live in a fallen world. What I have learned is..God is always on..no light switch..He is never ever in a hurry or rush..always right on time..His way His timing. If we come to God praying seeking asking and doubt...let not that man think he will get anything from God. Yet if we know He hears us..the we know we have the petitions we prayed for. HAVE because it goes in line with the word..it is written..bringing glory to Him pointing to Him.. I am praying for you

This is something I had to pray for recently in my life to get rid of evil dreams. It's good that you want this. Don't be afraid to ask a humble person to pray for you also.
