Ivan,

It breaks my heart to see that you are struggling really hard on this alcoholism. I can't relate to that because I've never touched a drop, but I have other thing that I struggle with, and it is very addictive and I find that my brain go through similar battle. There was one tip that I read in a book about battling temptation, it states that Im supposed to pick a bible verse that gives me peace, memorize it, and whenever I feel tempted, speak it out loud until the temptation goes away. I also read a book that says that the more I fix my eyes on Jesus, everything else becomes smaller, harder to see. so based on that, It means, the more I pray, the more I read the bible, the more time I spend with like minded christians who are eager to discuss bible and show love, the temptation in time will become less potent. But truth be told, the temptation will always be there because like one of the members previously said, we live in a fallen world, temptation is everywhere. It is what we do to the temptation that determine if its a sin or not. If we face temptation, and we don't act on it, its not a sin, but if we act on it, then it becomes a sin. All I can say, you are among friends who cares for you, we all are praying for you.
Stay strong, read scriptures, speak scripture out loud when you feel temptation often until that temptation reduce, it will take time.

In Jesus's name, Give Ivan strength to fight this alcoholism.
