Yep, "Wagons, roll!" That is where Hollywood got it from.

That's VERY FUNNY.

Us South Wales Valley Boys tend to poke a wee bit of fun at the Northerners. Here's a typical poke:

Dai and Ianto are walking down the road in Bala when they come to a cake shop. It has a huge fruit cake in the window. Dai says (excitedly): 'Quick, let's buy that cake. We can have half each.' 'Don't be silly, boy', says Ianto 'with a cake as big as that we can have more than half each!'

And to correct the balance. Here's a Northern poke:

What's the difference between a Valley Boyo and his photograph?.........................the photograph is fully developed!

This topic has always been a passion of mine being into alphabets, especially the Magi kind or ‘magical’ kind like ‘Angelical’. From wiki about Dee --- ‘Dee's journals did not describe the language as "Enochian", instead preferring descriptors like "Angelical", the "Celestial Speech", the "Language of Angels", the "First Language of God-Christ", the "Holy Language" or "Adamical" because, according to Dee's Angels, it was used by Adam in Paradise to name all things’.

Thanks for the thoughts!

I would agree God can speak in any of our human influenced tongues. I’ve found God does not need a language to relate to us but can do so without saying anything - a sort of knowledge imparted in mind.

Interesting to me how different Faiths view this so thanks again.

Personally Dee and Kelly and the ‘Enochaian’ alphabet peaked my interest, I find Dee’s and Kelly’s attempt good and interesting but it leaves me wondering…

Thus the inquiry…

God is omniscient.
Part of that, is knowing all languages that exist, have existed, or will exist.

So the answer to your question is: God speaks all languages. To be more precise: He can speak to everyone in his/her own language.

Considering that God is a one-of-a-kind entity, how could he have a "native" language? He would have no one to speak with among his "kind".

The best that one can say is that God, being omniscient, can speak whatever language he wants to.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone!

Speaking in tongues? Been there done that... can but why? Gibberish... your left to the interpretation thus the interpreter so would be better to communicate in words one can understand in their native language for the comfort and understanding of those curious...how cool would it be to find the languge of Angels - those who relate to us creation - and God - outside creatio but yet in this language inside - in speach and writ...

Thus the question of language... Definately God can speak to one - in their heart - not saying that in no way so lets be clear on that and ones Ephinany, or realization of God, in their environment..nor am I condoning the 'dark arts' or Occult lest you contact something differant than Dee, his Magc is devoted to God...like I said before I'm a researcher not a practicioner so just seeking information from others.

The ledgend of the Magi school is if you do not stay true to the wisdom they give you they can extract that knowledge from your mind...I find that enlightening and fascinating considering Crowley...although more into Hermes...what these and other Prophets wrote leave me wondering...with natrural emissions from the earth we inhale (lke from caves or vocanoes) or from fire or ingesting...were they relating informtion from God...I believe in some instances - yes - in others - no - it depends upon the message and messager...

Bump...and to avoid confusion --- by 'I find that enlightening and fascinating considering Crowley...although more into Hermes' --- I was speaking of Hermes Trismegistus (thrice great) and Hermeticism.

Esperanto sounds interesting however God could speak in any language, even Esperanto although the purpose of that language seems to me more for us to learn a second language we can relate to each other across Cultures and Religions. I think the original language of God and our Ancestors is simple, like a single letter and syllable for the concept - like the legit crop circles perhaps.

I want to research the actual documents of Hermeticism more, know it's important from those I studied Astrology from. "As above so below" - still trying to grasp that and Astrology better so that's where I stopped my research into it so any information you found I would appreciate it if you share it. I think Alchemy is not about making gold to get rich off of but for minerals - like colloidal silver has it's attributes and look at how some medicines and minerals are crucial. Theurgy is something we all have to come to terms with if we want to know God.

I'm surprised there aren't any Christian Gnostics here to explain more thier School, I would like to here some of what's taught about Hermes Thrice Great although I love the info from Wikipedia and find the ledgend of him being tied to Zoroaster and the Magic of the Magi interesting. I believe Hermes is Hermes and Zoroaster is Zoroaster not the same person, that Jesus was born so hope my different school of thought does not cause others not to post. My style is tolerant and interested of schools of thought, not out to prove mine is the only one right. I do believe Faiths descend from original doctrines like Prisca Theoligia such as the Golden Rule.

Again thanks for any info!

I believe God tells us about Her, Him Self more from the environment we find among ourselves more reliable than what other people have told us about this God in books and Languages…

That said there is a lot of good inspiration to be found in our Religious traditions and I find linguistics interesting…

Engravings, Hieroglyphics, Languages and Pictographs from beyond written History I would like to learn more about….

Any information and thoughts…
I don't have much to contribute.
Only I did find fascinating the decoding of Aztec glyphs. That posed a challenge to investigators. The manner in which they recorded events on a circular map.
Of course who can forget the Mayan end of the world 2012, laid out on their hieroglyphs and ttheir knowledge of astronomy is phenominal

IIRC, the World didn't end in 2012, though.

Christian Gnosticism died over a thousand years ago. Any Christians who claim to be gnostic today are following a modern reconstruction.

I'm just poking a little fun at the Baha'i.

There was a time when Baha'is were really into Esperanto and some still are. The daughter of inventor of Esperanto, Lidia Zamenhof, was a Baha'i. She came to America in 1937 in order to promote the language. After Poland was invaded she attempted to get a resident visa to stay in the US, which she was denied. She, along with all her siblings died in Holocaust.

Thanks for telling me that. I didn't realize that the inventor of Esperanto was a Baha'i.

Not the inventor. His daughter. The inventor was a Jew which is why all his children died in the Holocaust.
