You did not understand the challenge. AV claimed that he had a definition that showed atheism to be a religion and Christianity not to be one. Yes, there are several definitions to some words and some definitions are more useful than others. That one is a very lax and colloquial use of the word. Christianity would still be a religion by that definition so as I said you failed.

Nope, it is formal and non-colloquial.
It certainly encompasses atheism. I suspect it may not encompass Christianity.

Go back and look at AV's claim. He said that the could come up with a definition that made atheism a religion but not Christianity. Now you may be able to find a definition that would include atheism as a religion. You can't find a definition that would also make Christianity not a religion. Just showing that atheism is a "religion" is not good enough. You need to meet both parts of the challenge.

He will probably say that it is a sect of a a religion. Again, the claim is not just that you can show atheism is a religion, at the same time you need to show that Christianity is not.

And once again you are ignoring what the challenge actually is. Finding a definition that includes atheism is the easy part. Your example is not that good of one. Finding one that includes atheism and excludes Christianity is the part that AV failed at.

I would assume it appears vague because it deals with a variety of Bible-denying disciplines; such as everything from atheism, to science, to Zoroastrianism ... and more.

And you are still failing in the hard part of this challenge. How is Christianity not a religion? Heck, I will even let you call atheism a religion. Using the same definition you need to shown that atheism is a religion and that Christianity is not. That was AV's claim that I disagreed with.
