First time I took part in a Jewish community yesterday.

Kehillat Beijing was thrilled to celebrate a marriage. A Rabbi led us in an exceptional Friday night service, which would be followed closely by a dinner celebration with friends of the bride and groom, complete with live music (strikes again!) and dancing! I had a dinner and talk with some of them. The whole activity was very exciting to me!

Wish you all a blessed weekend!

I have a question. When Kehillat Beijing welcome newcomers to stand up to introduce themselves, i did not stand up. I think maybe they dislike Messianic more than general Christian. Can I tell them I am a Messianic Arabic Chinese publicly? Before I only told it to someone privately. Usually there is no Rabbi but a lay-led service there. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you all for your advice. I think I can talk Noachide but not Messianism with them.

Noachide - A form of religious practice invented by Judaism which allows a Gentile to follow a minimal form of Jewish practice without integrating too closely with actual Judaism.

May God bless you all.

I would be perfectly honest if asked. I would also not assume that they dislike Christians or Messianics. I would suggest talking to someone who is a part of the board or what ever organization they use to run the congregation. Let them know of your beliefs, ask them about their feelings on Christians attending (I am sure you are not the only one :) ) If you plan to attend regularly, then it's only right for them to know these things. If it was just a one time thing, then I would not bother to speak to anyone about it.
