    Struggling Chistian

I am having issues spiritually as well as mentally. I'm looking for someone to pray for me and I will pray for you as well. I guess that's how it works.

Maybe lost my last best friend

I'm curious, what are your intentions for being on the bipolar forums. You don't seem to be here to here to help.

    Clonidine

I have not have very good experiences with ADHD medicines. I got prescribed this medicine for tics and ADHD and it made me feel horrible today. I felt trapped inside my own body if that makes any sense. And it made me feel sad. It also caused drowsiness and confusion. I don't know why my doctor...

    Definition of mixed states

It's when symptoms of mania and depression occur simultaneously (taken from Wikipedia). It's kind of like have extreme opposite moods at the same time. It can be confusing and frustrating. My mind is not clear enough to give examples because I often don't remember these things, but you can read...

    God be all praise!!!

I find it very difficult. Sometimes it's when I'm at my lowest that I am closest to Him.

I just found out I'm Bipolar

Thanks for reminding me of that. That is a great chapter for suffering. I always go to Romans 5.

For Those Suffering with Mental Illness

I put this together pretty fast, and I focused more on the structure than the actual words. I'd like to spend more time making a better one. Maybe something more eloquent but with structure as well. I think my next poem will be a sonnet. My favorite :) We are the faceless To them we are...

What Teams Do You Root For?

I support the Seattle Sounders FC and Liverpool. Liverpool is an English soccer team for those not into the premier league.

    God be all praise!!!

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us...

Maybe lost my last best friend

Some people have been suffering for so long that it gives them relief to finally know what it wrong with them and that there is help. I understand maybe some doctors over medicate, but go to a mental hospital and see how some people are and you will see the effects of severe mental illness on a...

Any good christina books on bipolar?

This is not a book, but if you need a quick resource, there is a site called brokenbelievers.com. It is a blog written by a man with bipolar disorder who is also a Christian. He was a pastor once but his illness stigmatized him so much that he no longer pastors his church.

I just found out I'm Bipolar

I've actually suspected since I was 14 after a manic episode that no one could explain, but yesterday I was officially diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder, Single Manic Episode, Unspecified. My doctor put me on Depakote which I have not started taking yet. The only thing I'm concerned with is...

If the Lord had Not Been on My Side

This is inspired from Psalm 124. The question is, what is a time that the Lord has been on your side and delivered you from any hard time? I have many but this is what came to mind. Feel free to comment with your own testimonies in poetry form; it's actually quite fun. If the Lord had not been...

Great, I wouldn't have thought of that. And I think radical ideas are good. Too many of us are becoming complacent (including myself sometimes) in this world.
