I do, and I've written a screenplay for it. But I'd rather not give out any details since it's not hard for people to swipe intellectual property once it's on the internet. @YankeeGirl and @Quieted know the story and I think they liked it... This one is a political thriller involving a conspiracy.

I'm also developing a screenplay for a science fiction/fantasy/superhero/action movie called "Gaia Theory".

On another note, I'm a MASSIVE fan of the Stargate franchise, and the studios are supposedly going to green light a reboot of the film if the sequel to Independence Day does well at the box office this summer. Personally, the film was the worst part of the franchise; the three TV-series that it inspired were far better.

That being said, if I were a producer on the Stargate reboot I would hire Ridley Scott or Christopher Nolan to direct, and Hans Zimmer to score the soundtrack.

For the cast, my first choices would be:

Joel Edgerton as Jack O'Neil
Daniel Radcliffe as Dr. Daniel Jackson
Sam Waterston as Dr. Paul Langford
Maggie Smith as Catherine Langford
Robert Patrick as General West
Jason Segel as Louis Ferretti
Édgar Ramírez as Charles Kawalski
Anthony Mackie as Brown
Sung Kang as Freeman
Sebastian Stan as Reilly
Michael Peña as Porro
Yigal Naor as Kasuf
Saïd Taghmaoui as Skaara
Gal Gadot as Shau'ri
Rodrigo Santoro as Ra

If you haven't seen the original Stargate film from 1994, the basic plot is that archaeologists discover a large ring artifact in Giza near the pyramids in 1928. Later in 1994, after years of research a disgraced Egyptologist is recruited into a top secret military program beneath Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado. He learns about the ring and determines that it's essentially a portal (it creates an artificial wormhole) to other rings just like it elsewhere in the galaxy (and even further out in the universe). He helps the scientists figure out how to 'dial' it, and then he's assigned to a military expeditionary team that goes through it. On the other side they encounter a human civilization reminiscent of ancient Egypt, tyrannically ruled by an alien parasite (with a human host) that poses as Ra, the Egyptian god of the sun.

I won't spoil anything else for the movie, but in the 90's it was a really fun movie, and I think there's a lot of potential for a remake if they hire the right people.

Yeah, your screenplay was really well written. I think you developed a pretty interesting plotline. @Quieted and I will buy tickets when your film premieres :)

I remember chatting with someone years ago who was a fan of Vivien Leigh and wrote a screenplay for a biopic of her life, I dont know if it ever got to production stage but I think I would go and see it if was made. For those that dont know, vivien Leigh was the british actress who played Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the wind. She was married to another famous actor Laurence Olivier. She suffered from manic depression. Also interesting she was catholic, but she commited adultery. Which was big scandal at the time, she repented many years later after the divorce.

If i were to produce a movie I would make one of Margaret atwoods novel Cats Eye which was kind of mostly based on her childhood, growing up in Toronto, and about bullying, frenemies, art, memories and christianity.

I cant think of a tagline that would sum up what cats eye is about...but it would definitely have interesting costumes through the years spanning from the 40s to the 80s.

Not seen stargate and not really into sci fi.

My other original idea for a screenplay which nobody can really swipe cos who else would make it...is about this kiwi girl who goes to america on a roadtrip (to stalk her teenage crush) and then meets all these american characters and gets involved with their lives. A comedy. Plus shes a christian and tells people the gospel, but they dont always take it that well. Then she meets a guy who is one of those annoying evangelist types who is even more outspoken and weird than she is. Who knows if they are meant to be? I dont. But it will be funny watching it.

Also there will be lots of american product placement, and she will go to all these tourist places like disneyland and dollywood on her road trip.

Working title- Breakfast at Denny's.

I would love for this movie to be made. I really want something like this in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Working Title "Venom"

Synopsis
While on a military mission in Afghanistan, Flash Tompson and his squadmate, Eddie Brock, crash land in the middle of the desert when a strange meteor strikes their helicopter, killing everyone except them. As they examine the asteroid, they find that it's not just a rock, there's an alien symbiote hidden in it, and it wants a host. Now Flash has to find a way to stop Eddie, now turned into a massive monster with strength that can rival the Hulk, from destroying everything.

Flash Tompson would probably be played by Alexander Ludwig

Why not JJ Abrams? He seems to do well with SciFi.

The only Scifi movie I would be interested in seeing is possible take on HG Wells first man on the moon.
So in this movie, forget that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. There were actually people on there BEFORE them but nobody on earth really knew because it wasn't televised.
Now in this story, two men make it to the moon on their rocket ship that has special anti-gravity metals in it. And when they get to the moon, they think nothing is there until they go down into a crater and realise....the moon is hollow! And there are creatures living in it called Selenites.

Yea so its all about that and they have adventures and one of them gets captured and almost dies. So the other goes to rescue him and gets stuck for several days. You will have to see the movie if it ever gets made to find out if they ever make it back to earth.

i had always thought Catherine Zeta Jones would be perfect to play Vivien Leigh.

For a second I thought you were talking about a modified version of Apollo 18 until you said the moon was hollow. It seems old, but forgive my ignorance if it's new. I would have to read the book to get the story. Maybe its at my library.

See, that's what I'm talking about. Sci-fi horror. A movie about a hollow moon filled with people who worship Selena Gomez. The Selenites! Terrifying!!! The sequel could be about a race of mutants, called Bieberoids, invading the Earth. Eek!

:ahah:

Didn't watch ST7 and I didn't like the fact that he basically butchered the Wrath of Khan.
If you haven't seen it, watch it. It's awesome. Also, I don't think Into Darkness was supposed to be a remake of WoK. I think it was supposed to be an original story with callbacks to Wrath of Kahn.

I also think a musical version of the Book Of Job would be pretty cool kinda like Fiddler on the Roof meets Les Miserables.

Job and his three friends will each have lots of songs, Job especially singing the blues. The big show number of course will be when Job has his audience with God (we can hear him, but can't see him, lots of thunder and lightning and pyrotechnics) and then cut to the big happy ending were we see Job ecstatic and singing on top of a hillside like in the Sound of Music with everything restored back to him.

This movie version of course will have scripture lyrics scrolling down the bottom of the screen so the audience can sing along.
