So we should really be referring to "Him" as it.

No, because God has chosen to present himself to us using masculine imagery ie "Father". And Jesus Christ is physically a man, so it is absolutely correct to say that God is a man, because He is.

Yes, Jesus took the form of a man when He was on the Earth, but God is neither male nor female.

It is my understanding--please correct me if I am wrong--that some branches of the Orthodox church refer to the Holy Spirit as feminine.

Since Jesus Christ is fully God and fully (hu)Man, and was incarnate as a man, then God is a Male. However, God the Father is gender less as he doesn't have a physical body, same is true with the Holy Spirit.

So, the Trinity doesn't have a sex, but one of the Persons does.

Using this reasoning, God was without gender until approximately 2000 years ago when 1/3rd of God became male.

You are entitled to your opinion, but it is nothing more than that--opinion.

That is correct. Except the 1/3 of God part. Jesus is God, not a part of God.

It's standard orthodox theology. Jesus is fully God, Jesus is fully human. In keeping with being fully human, He has a specific gender: male. To deny that Jesus is either God or Man is heresy, either Arianism or Nestorianism, depending on which point is being denied.

That is correct. Except the 1/3 of God part. Jesus is God, not a part of God.

But you specifically said in your earlier post "However, God the Father is gender less as he doesn't have a physical body, same is true with the Holy Spirit. So, the Trinity doesn't have a sex, but one of the Persons does." If God is male beacuse Jesus in male then the Father and the Holy Ghost do have a gender.

It's standard orthodox theology. Jesus is fully God, Jesus is fully human. In keeping with being fully human, He has a specific gender: male.

Yes, Jesus is fully God. Yes, Jesus is fully man. But, although he took that form on Earth, Jesus isn't fully male. In fact Jesus Himself said in John 4:24, "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

To deny that Jesus is either God or Man is heresy, either Arianism or Nestorianism, depending on which point is being denied.

Don't believe that I have done any such thing.

The Trinity doesn't have parts, it has Persons. Jesus is male, the other persons are incoporeal and do not have physical genders. Being that Jesus is God, it is not incorrect to say that God is male. It is incorrect to say that God is female.

Yes, Jesus is fully God. Yes, Jesus is fully man. But, although he took that form on Earth, Jesus isn't fully male. In fact Jesus Himself said in John 4:24, "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

How can Jesus not be fully male? Was He fully male when He was on Earth? Was He full male when He was resurrected? Did He not ascend bodily into heaven? If He did, then Jesus is in heaven with a fully male body.

Don't believe that I have done any such thing.

You seem to be denying that Jesus is male. I am not aware of any orthodox Christian theology that does that.

The Trinity doesn't have parts, it has Persons.

Correct. My error.

Jesus is male,

In your opinion.

the other persons are incoporeal and do not have physical genders.

Being that Jesus is God, it is not incorrect to say that God is male. It is incorrect to say that God is female.

Then why do some Orthodox churches say that the Holy Ghost is female?

How can Jesus not be fully male?

Jesus is God. Jesus tells us that God is Spirit.

Was He fully male when He was on Earth?

Yes. I believe I said that already.

Was He full male when He was resurrected?

We know that those who saw him initially did not recognize Him.

Did He not ascend bodily into heaven? If He did, then Jesus is in heaven with a fully male body.

But Jesus is God. Jesus said that God is Spirit.

You seem to be denying that Jesus is male.

No, I am saying that, as Jesus said, God is Spirit.

I am not aware of any orthodox Christian theology that does that
.

Oh yes.

.

Oh yes.

So, you are denying that Christ was resurrected and ascended in both natures into heaven; and that he did not retain His physical body?
