You are driving down a road. In front of your car, there is woman, and next to her a deer. It is too late to avoid hitting one of them. You must choose between the woman and the deer.
Which do you hit?
eudaimonia,
Mark
The deer of course. That's a stupid question.
It's a human over an animal. I would rather not hit either, but thinking about myself (very selfish I know) I'd rather hit a deer than kill a woman. And i think most pagans would think the same.
My main question would be "What is she doing in the middle of the road anyway?"
What are your beliefs regarding the existence of deities?
What does it mean to be 'Pagan'? You say you are knowledgeable, but knowledgeable on what, exactly?
Do you believe in the 'supernatural' or 'paranormal' (ghosts, spirits, constructs, etc), and if so, what convinced you of its existence?
1. Deities, in my mind at the very least are dependant on what sort of magick you are attempting to conjure or what protection you need.
Most pagans seem to take into account A god and A goddess and then call them by whatever names that are required.
Deities are just for name sake really.
2. Paganism is a nature based religion that takes more spirituality from the earth than from the concept of a God or Goddess. It is a balanced religion that worships both the sun and the moon and believes in the ultimate balance (for every action there is an equal and oppisite reaction).
3. Not all pagans/wiccans/whatever do believe in the supernatural, but U personally do. I think its very unlikely that for as long as humans have been sentient we have seen ghosts and felt spirits and that they are not real. I personally believe in ghosts because when i was 7 years old I remember "talking" to my grandfather after he died and just talking to him as though he is really there. In my mind a spirit may be in heaven but that doesn't mean they can't visit us or haunt us.
did you have any beliefs of supernatural, deities, gods, religious beliefs prior to your beliefs in the occult and wicca?
See above
Well yes. And there has never really been a "before" for me, my family are literally half pagan and half catholic so i had the choice to be either and choose paganism.
I mean that Christians believe in God as a literal personality. He interacts with people on a personal level, literally.
Do Wiccans believe in a goddess that is comparable to that. One that is an individual person? (Let's not get into the trinity here please.) I have read about the Mother, the Maiden and the Crone. But I did not read anything about the topic of my question. Is the goddess a literal personal being or is she an impersonal force in the universe?
Yes then. Remember we have a GOD and GODDESS and both are very personal. It is less of a worshiping then a sort of friendship I feel I have with my god and goddess. Its someone always on your side and who knows everything about you.
They have a plan.
Do paganists eat babies, or do they differ from atheists in that aspect?
One it's PAGANS, and no lol, I don't think babies would taste very nice.
Oh Wiccan_Child thanks for the help! If you could help me in this thread too that would be AWESOME
What kind of ice cream do Pagan wenches like?
Strawberry personally
Do they have bodies like we do?
.
(I hope FW doesnt mind you performing the ask-a-pagan function in her thread. No offense, but all other things being equal, Id rather talk to a lovely Scottish wench. Still, I appreciate your prespective.)
.
Of course I don't mind
Its nice to have some help because paganism is what you make it, not what a certain person tells you it is. Its individual to the person.
