Peace in Christ.

The LORD promised to keep Caleb alive in the desert in order to inherit the Promised Land.

Caleb had an age-lasting life (aka “eternal life”) so-to-speak. He was “kept alive” as promised. Caleb had “another spirit” in him….the spirit of faith….and he wholly followed the LORD his God ….his Judge.

Jos 14:9-10 KJV
(9) And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
(10) And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

This same good news applies to us today. We must have FAITH in the true gospel and in Christ Jesus.....the true Anointed Jesus (as compared to "another jesus" the antichrist being preached by false prophets).

We are to be also “kept alive” mortally in this “desert”… in this present, evil age with the promised age-lasting life (for the duration of this age) in order to inherit the kingdom of God…the government of God …that becomes the ONLY government in the next age.

We have the same promise….the promise of an age-lasting life in this present, evil age (the “desert”) that we are in. The unbelievers perish in this present evil age just as they did during Caleb's time in the desert.

1Jn 2:25
(25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal (AGE-LASTING) life.

The age-lasting life is a NOW thing….one to “lay hold” of. We who believe in the truth of the gospel are to seize it now.

We are to fight the good fight of the faith. We must believe in the truth of the gospel….and not the “another gospel” being preached in the churches of fleshly-minded men who are perishing away mortally from this earth under the wrath of God. They are not preaching it with the truth attached to it as they do not understand it.

1Ti 6:12 KJV
(12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Why are the rich in this world advised to lay up in store for themselves a good foundation against the TIME TO COME? Because those who are true believers will continue to mortally live throughout the rest of this present, evil age. They are to “lay hold on eternal life”…an age-lasting life. It starts for those who will believe the gospel of Truth.

1Ti 6:17-19 KJV
(17) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
(18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
(19) Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

But we must leave the churches of men which are built upon errors (their handwritings and doctrines and commandments of men). We must leave them for His sake and the gospel’s…the gospel of truth.

We must leave our current church “family” behind in order to follow Him. The churches of men will not believe in the gospel of truth when they will hear it. They will prefer to keep receiving what the false prophets are preaching to them. They will scoff at it : "where is the promise (age-lasting life) of His coming?"

They will be “unbelievers” of the true gospel…and what do we who believe have in common with them any longer? We must come out from among them and be separate as commanded by the Lord our God.

Mar 10:
(29) And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

When we leave them, we shall receive another church “family”….true believers who will hear and believe in the gospel of truth. We will receive again all the things we leave behind.

Those we leave behind will persecute us for leaving them….but it is only for “in this time”…that is, a season…a momentary “now in this time”.

“and in the world to come eternal life”. Only that is mistranslated. The short season of leaving and receiving other family members is compared to the age…this age.

It is literally in the AGE (this age) THE (definite article) coming age-lasting life. It is not “to” but “THE” coming age-lasting life.

It is in this AGE that we are to start (“come” = erchomai = to start, appear, come, go) with the age-lasting life. It starts for true believers....and we are to take hold of it and walk in newness of life.

(30) But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world (AGE) to (THE) come (COMING) eternal life.

Like Caleb, we are kept here in this earth for the duration of this age. We are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation when our mortal bodies shall be redeemed....the putting on immortality at the "last time"...the last trump at the end of this age.

1Pe 1:5-6 KJV
(5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We shall be "now for a season" persecuted by those we leave behind in the churches of men. But in this age, we inherit the age-lasting life... being kept here by the power of God through out faith in the true Jesus Christ and the belief of the true gospel.

(6) Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
