In the span of three weeks, from March 20 to April 8, ICE has released 5,200 migrants to nonprofits and churches throughout Arizona, according to ICE statistics.
However, that number does not include thousands of migrants that Border Patrol in Yuma has been releasing directly into that community in the past month, rather than handing them into the custody of ICE.
