Yes, there is a little resentment

My reality is less than stellar

My fantasy is so much sweeter

So I resent the bombardment

of calls to awaken

Alarm clocks are not appreciated

I know the intent is kind

Fantasy is better for me

I rather dream of you than be awake

And be without you

Not a chain on you, though

I am alright

Oh, it is alright. It is self inflicted pain. It is less that it happened than I made it happen. Now, I am reaping the consequences.

As someone who knows a thing or 2 about self-inflicted pain, I can say we often wound ourselves deeper than anyone else can. We still need God's healing.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
