CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Id say pitifully few, and if you do understand, then it definelty doesnt affect you

This is a game. The intent behind the making of the game was action and adventure in a fantasy setting. I'm sure the game designers dont think the symbol has any significance and threw it in there because its "dark" and lines up with "shadow" without any concern for real world implications. I find the game alot of fun and I actually do witness to people in the game through both my words and actions (while I'm racking up huge virtual body counts on another march to 60 and even larger virtual body counts on my already 60's and looking forward to still greater mayhem on my multiple march to 70 if and when they finally release BC) lol

Just like people use the Vampiric Embrace gesture in real life to signify their love for metal music (i.e. heavy rock), I believe it is alright for that sign to be in there as it easily suits the Shadow type of magic in the game. Fictional magic.
When using the sign yourself, it means only what you want it to mean, whether that means signifying your devotion to Lucifer or your love for heavy metal music.
As for the LaVey thing, a name is only a name. At least when it comes to humans. Nothing wrong with a few quiet, subtle references thrown in every now and then.
