I simply quoted it. Hardly a misuse, unless quoting scripture is a misuse of scripture.

Getting a 451 Error : Not available for Legal Reasons, to that link, which says:

We recognize you are attempting to access this website from a country belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA) including the EU which enforces the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and therefore access cannot be granted at this time.

Funny I might be mistaken but I don't recall ever getting that before if a page doesn't come up - its usually a 401. Oh well.

the problem is you seem to think the USA is a Christian nation . It’s not, and it’s actually forbidden to have a state religion. So politically you don’t have a say in whether someone’s else civil rights aren’t deserved because you don’t like them because of your beliefs.
Now if you were to say that the majority of people in the USA are Christians then that’s an accurate statement.

Not what is.. but God looks remembers what the forefathers said and did. "Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that you will keep the United States in Holy protection."

America was dedicated to God. It IS not was.. blessed. It did seem as if GOD removed His hand of protection and blessing. Yet I KNOW MANY of us.. then stood in the gap so GOD would not have to judge. And He did bless us again... or like some like to say.. a 2nd Chance.

And a flag.. proves nothing other then darkness vs light. So we SEE this going on.. been going on for so many years. How much have WE been praying about it? We are to pray about all things and to be in pray always. So.. its not GODS fault we see the enemy trying to brake in.. we were given ALL power over the enemy.. pray

Honestly this bothers me , you think it’s ok to harass and frankly the bible says murder gay people just because the Bible says so . The same book that condones slavery ( don’t bother, the American civil war was as much about that religious belief as it was about slavery ) and treating women as second class citizens which any woman will tell you is emotional abuse. America is NOT a Christian country and it was never meant to be a Christian country from day one. The founding fathers did not want the stupid sectarian wars battles and killings in Europe and the Middle East over religious beliefs to be recreated over here.

Well, several state flags reference the Confederate battle flag in their appearance, which is in effect a flag that promotes rebellion against the civil government.

Manifest Destiny... which in honest terms means: (1) the forced Indian removals (2) the merciless massacres of Native Americans (3) the hundreds of violated treaties the federal government signed with the tribal nations (4) the Three-Fifths Compromise (5) the 188 years of denying minorities rights and equality to white people (6) the 89 years of legalized slavery (7) the 148 years of denying Native Americans U.S. citizenship and (8) the 202 years of denying Native Americans religious freedom.

America was founded upon perpetuated lies and stolen tribal lands. Attempted genocide, legalized slavery, massive land theft, racial supremacy of white men, and racism and discrimination against minorities is what this country was founded upon. It's nothing more than a perpetual facade to claim that America was founded upon Christian principles or upon freedom, liberty and justice for all.

To quote Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Our nation was born in genocide when it embraced the doctrine that the original American, the Indian, was an inferior race. Even before there were large numbers of Negroes on our shores, the scar of racial hatred had already disfigured colonial society. From the sixteenth century forward, blood flowed in battles of racial supremacy. We are perhaps the only nation which tried as a matter of national policy to wipe out its Indigenous population. Moreover, we elevated that tragic experience into a noble crusade. Indeed, even today we have not permitted ourselves to reject or feel remorse for this shameful episode. Our literature, our films, our drama, our folklore all exalt it."

Apparently there are some Christians who seem to be under the impression that the American ideals of freedom, liberty and justice for all only applies to the people that they personally approve of.

The only biblical aspects that can be honestly attributed to America's founding was the insurmountable amount of attempted genocide and slavery that occurred during the continuous theft of tribal lands.

Let's take a look at what the Christian founding fathers had to say about Native Americans:

“If it be the design of Providence to extirpate these Savages in order to make room for cultivators of the Earth, it seems not improbable that rum may be the appointed means.” - Benjamin Franklin

“This unfortunate race, whom we had been taking so much pains to save and to civilize, have by their unexpected desertion and ferocious barbarities justified extermination and now await our decision on their fate.” - Thomas Jefferson

“The immediate objectives are the total destruction and devastation of their settlements and the capture of as many prisoners of every age and sex as possible. It will be essential to ruin their crops in the ground and prevent their planting more.” - George Washington

I agree that the US was specifically not a Christian nation, but the basic concept of natural rights and the right of people to determine their government, which underpin our whole government, came out of (liberal) Christian political theory. Of course it can be traced to the Greeks, but the form in which it was used in the US does have a Christian background.

Democrats are just expressing their defiance of nature and nature’s God. Plus their defiance of the Bible and Christian based civilization and of the republic that has always stood in their way.

Good grief, is that a new Supergirl movie? The only one I recall seeing was way back in the 80s - it had a witch or sorceress as a villian, cannot remember the name of the actress who played the part of Supergirl, and the film followed her through boarding school, with her typing at about 300 words a minute in one scene!

It was a little bit cheesy in some scenes (maybe girls watching it found it better) and Supergirl always flew very ladylike with one knee bent, but there was nothing lesbian in it, even the witch villian had put super-girls boyfriend under her spell to be a kind of toyboy - lol.

There is a plausible interpretation of those verses that it may be a reference to men and women who turned away from hetrosexual relationships, not those who never had come to engage in hetrosexual relationships. The Third Person of the Trinity however decides the meaning of scripture finally.

If someone simply cannot relate to a woman intimately perhaps because they are schizoid toward women (from a primitive psychological wound), that is a different thing - that said homosexual relating while it may be easier and less anxious for them isn't really a good thing or subsitute, and carries a lot of health risks.

But there are people (men and women) who do 'leave the natural use' and are part of the LGBT culture, and that verse is quite relevant in those cases. Not every gay man or lesbian woman has a primitive injury.

I would not say you were misquoting however, you simply gave a scripture, however it isn't the complete message of the Bible without the Gospel.

    Wow, really?
The original constitution of Massachusetts 1780
We, therefore, the people of Massachusetts, acknowledging, with grateful hearts, the goodness of the great Legislator of the universe, in affording us, in the course of His providence, an opportunity, deliberately and peaceably, without fraud, violence, or surprise, of entering into an original, explicit, and solemn compact with each other, and of forming a new constitution of civil government for ourselves and posterity; and devoutly imploring His direction in so interesting a design, do agree upon, ordain, and establish the following declaration of rights and frame of government as the constitution of the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Article I. All men are born free and equal, and have certain natural, essential, and unalienable rights; among which may be reckoned the right of enjoying and defending their lives and liberties; that of acquiring, possessing, and protecting property; in fine, that of seeking and obtaining their safety and happiness.
Art. II. It is the right as well as the duty of all men in society, publicly and at stated seasons, to worship the Supreme Being, the great Creator and Preserver of the universe. And no subject shall be hurt, molested, or restrained, in his person, liberty, or estate, for worshipping God in the manner and season most agreeable to the dictates of his own conscience, or for his religious profession or sentiments, provided he doth not disturb the public peace or obstruct others in their religious worship.
Art. III. As the happiness of a people and the good order and preservation of civil government essentially depend upon piety, religion, and morality, and as these cannot be generally diffused through a community but by the institution of the public worship of God and of the public instructions in piety, religion, and morality: Therefore, To promote their happiness and to secure the good order and preservation of their government, the people of this commonwealth have a right to invest their legislature with power to authorize and require, and the legislature shall, from time to time, authorize and require, the several towns, parishes, precincts, and other bodies-politic or religious societies to make suitable provision, at their own expense, for the institution of the public worship of God and for the support and maintenance of public Protestant teachers of piety, religion, and morality in all cases where such provision shall not be made voluntarily.
And the people of this commonwealth have also a right to, and do, invest their legislature with authority to enjoin upon all the subject an attendance upon the instructions of the public teachers aforesaid, at stated times and seasons, if there be any on whose instructions they can conscientiously and conveniently attend.
Provided, notwithstanding, That the several towns, parishes, precincts, and other bodies-politic, or religious societies, shall at all times have the exclusive right and electing their public teachers and of contracting with them for their support and maintenance.
And all moneys paid by the subject to the support of public worship and of public teachers aforesaid shall, if he require it, be uniformly applied to the support of the public teacher or teachers of his own religious sect or denomination, provided there be any on whose instructions he attends; otherwise it may be paid toward the support of the teacher or teachers of the parish or precinct in which the said moneys are raised.
And every denomination of Christians, demeaning themselves peaceably and as good subjects of the commonwealth, shall be equally under the protection of the law; and no subordination of any sect or denomination to another shall ever be established by law.
Art. XVIII. A frequent recurrence to the fundamental principles of the constitution, and a constant adherence to those of piety, justice, moderation, temperance, industry, and frugality, are absolutely necessary to preserve the advantages of liberty and to maintain a free government. The people ought, consequently, to have a particular attention to all those principles, in the choice of their officers and representatives; and they have a right to require of their lawgivers and magistrates an exact and constant observation of them, in the formation and execution of the laws necessary for the good administration of the commonwealth.
Art. II. The governor shall be chosen annually; and no person shall be eligible to this office, unless, at the time of his election, he shall have been an inhabitant of this commonwealth for seven years next preceding; and unless he shall, at the same time, be seized, in his own right, of a freehold, within the commonwealth, of the value of one thousand pounds; and unless he shall declare himself to be of the Christian religion.
Article I. There shall be annually elected a lieutenant-governor of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, whose title shall be "His Honor;" and who shall be qualified, in point of religion, property, and residence in the commonwealth, in the same manner with the governor....
CHAPTER V.--THE UNIVERSITY AT CAMBRIDGE, AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF LITERATURE, ETC.
    Section 1.--The University
Article I. Whereas our wise and pious ancestors, so early as the year [1636], laid the foundation of Harvard College, in which university many persons of great prominence have, by the blessing of God, been initiated in those arts and sciences which qualified them for the public employments, both in church and State; and whereas the encouragement of arts and sciences, and all good literature, tends to the honor of God, the advantage of the Christian religion, and the great benefit of this and the other other United States of America....
Art. III. And whereas by an act of the general court of the colony of Massachusetts Bay, passed in the year [1642], the governor and deputy governor for the time being, and all the magistrates of that jurisdiction, were, with the President, and a number of the clergy, is the said act described, constituted the overseers of Harvard College; and it being necessary, in this new constitution of government, to ascertain who shall be deemed successors to the said governor, deputy governor, and magistrates, it is declared that the governor, lieutenant-governor, council, and senate of this commonwealth are, and shall be deemed, their successors; who, with the president of Harvard College, for the time being, together with the ministers of the congregational churches in he towns of Cambridge, Watertown, Charlestown, Boston, Roxbury and Dorchester, mentioned in the said act, shall be, and hereby are, vested with all the powers and authority belonging, or in any way appertaining, to the overseers of Harvard College: Provided, that nothing herein shall be construed to prevent the legislature of this commonwealth from making such alterations in the government of the said university as shall be conducive to its advantage, and the interest of the republic of letters, in as full a manner as might have been done by the legislature of the late province of the Massachusetts Bay.
    CHAPTER V.
Section 2.--The Encouragement of Literature, etc.
Wisdom and knowledge, as well as virtue, diffused generally among the body of the people, being necessary for the preservation of their rights and liberties; and as these depend on spreading the opportunities and advantages of education in the various parts of the country, and among the different orders of the people, it shall be the duty of legislatures and magistrates, in all future periods of this commonwealth, to cherish the interests of literature and the sciences, and all seminaries of them; especially the university at Cambridge, public schools, and grammar-schools in the towns; to encourage private societies and public institutions, rewards and immunities, for the promotion of agriculture, arts, sciences, commerce, trades, manufactures, and a natural history of the country; to countenance and inculcate the principles of humanity and general benevolence, public and private charity, industry and frugality, honesty and punctuality in their dealings; sincerity, and good humor, and all social affections and generous sentiments, among the people.
    CHAPTER VI.
Oaths and Subscriptions; Incompatibility of and Exclusion from Offices; Pecuniary Qualifications; Commissions; Writs; Confirmation of Laws; Habeas Corpus; The Enacting Style; Continuance of Officers; Provision for a Future Revisal of the Constitution, etc.
Article I. Any person chosen governor, lieutenant-governor, councilor, senator, or representative, and accepting the trust, shall, before he proceed to execute the duties of his place or office, make and subscribe the following declaration, viz:
"I, A.B., do declare that I believe the Christian religion, and have a firm persuasion of its truth; and that I am seized and possessed, in my own right, of the property required by the constitution, as one qualification for the office or place to which I am elected."
And the governor, lieutenant-governor, and councilors shall make and subscribe the said declaration, in the presence of the two houses of assembly; and the senators and representatives, first elected under this constitution, before the president and five of the council of the former constitution; and forever afterwards, before the governor and council for the time being.

In the Supergirl TV series, she is a lesbian and they show it by kissing each other. And in their real life.
It is overtly on display in the show.
Chyler Leigh and Floriana Lima on Supergirl Lesbian Relationship: 'It's a Love Story, and It's Beautiful'
Leigh says it’s been especially gratifying to introduce a rich LGBTQ storyline into a series set in the popular superhero genre, which has only tiptoed into the territory at times.

The United States of America was founded on massive land theft, hundreds of violated treaties with the tribal nations, white supremacy, and racism and discrimination against minorities. There were forced Indian removals, brutal massacres of Native Americans, 89 years of slavery, the Three-Fifths Compromise, and nearly two centuries of denying minorities civil rights and equality to white people.

Article VI of the United States Constitution states: "and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land" and yet the federal government violated every single legal treaty it signed with the tribal nations. Native Americans were either forcibly removed from their land or they were mercilessly slaughtered for their land.

For 148 years, Native Americans were denied citizenship until the American Indian Citizenship Act in 1924. They were also denied religious freedom for 202 years until the American Indian Religious Freedom Act in 1978. Until that law was passed, Native American religious dances were illegal and punishable by imprisonment. For 214 years, the religious sacred sites and burial grounds of Native Americans could be desecrated and tribal artifacts could be taken from those sacred sites without the permission from the tribe until the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act in 1990.

For 89 years in the United States, slavery was legal and black people were believed to be inferior to white people. They were enslaved, beaten and killed because of the color of their skin.

For 99 years after slavery was abolished, the descendants of the freed slaves were systematically denied civil rights and equality to white people and they were legally segregated from white people until the Civil Rights Movement in 1964. They were denied the right to vote (despite the Thirteenth Amendment) until the Jim Crow Laws were abolished by the Voting Rights Act in 1965.

In America, black people were lynched and hung from trees. They had to sit at the back of the bus and were legally required to give up their seat to a white person. They were not allowed to eat at the same counter as white people in a public restaurant or use the same public restroom as white people or use the same drinking fountain as white people. Black children were not allowed to go to school with white children until its highest court intervened to put an end to segregation in public schools, but it took three years after the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case in 1954 before black children were finally allowed to attend public schools with white children. No more Separate but Equal.

In America, "No Colored" signs, "No Mexicans" signs, "No Indians and dogs" signs, and "Whites Only" signs once dawned public stores and restaurants. And despite all of these undeniable historical facts of America's real history, there has been a popular perpetual facade that the United States of America was originally founded upon freedom, liberty and justice for all. In fact, there are a multitude of civil rights groups and social justice groups to fight against discrimination that still exist in this country.

Don't forget about "One nation under God". Does God say anything in scripture that would lead you to believe He condones homosexuality or the official recognition of it though marriage?

I started watching Supergirl when it came out on the CW channel, but then gave up on it when it started becoming all about the lesbian stuff. It was almost as if Supergirl was the latest version of Ellen Degeneres.
