There is a fascinating prediction that land within a hundred miles of cities in the USA will skyrocket in value for a number of reasons. So certainly....... land on water will be especially desirable.

America is a big, big big country,

I know so little about it, been there once, long time ago,
a cargo of white stuff from, Bremen.

Saw so little, but noticed they had tons of radio stations,
it was when doo-wap was the thing.

So it may be a great place but I do not feel that attracted,
    haha.

So do you mind if I ask if you are living in Sweden?

People in Sweden and people in Canada both try to be good neighbours to people in The Netherlands.

Yes, here I am sitting on the edge of the pot after being shanghaeid from Norway.

    A horrible story.

Have not noticed much about the Dutch.

    Strange you ask.

I am referring to a question on Physics and Mathematics and the behaviour patterns of a liquid within a massive container that is relevant to both Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, the State of Maine...... and of course... The Netherlands......

If average ocean levels rose by eight to ten cms (3 or 4 inches) could high tide...
... rise by one meter in the Isthmus of Chignecto in Nova Scotia, Canada?

This question is logical because the geography of Canada's Bay of Fundy produces the world's highest tides. In my part of Nova Scotia in Guysborough County there is very little funnelling of tidal waters......... so high tide is only about one to one point five meters above low tide.

In the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy high tide levels are up by ten to fifteen meters.

Jersey in the channel islands has high tides too,
last spring tide 21st Feb, 11.97m, 39,3 feet.

Have wondered why there are no sea turbines to generate power, tides twice a day.

    Don,t know what would happen.

But there is a promise; Genesis 9:11.

Interesting.... I think that Israel has already developed the technology that will be used to address both the coming financial crisis as the Derivatives market goes through a correction........ but basically humanity has got to think and act on a much more grand scale.

With 117 trillion USA petrodollars in the derivatives market by 2014..... I think it is time for a meta- project or two or three that will turn things around.

Cheap Water from the World’s Largest Modern Seawater Desalination Plant

One trillion dollars US would build 2000 plants of this size.....
and once they were running at full capacity could desalinate
    627,000 x 2000 = 1,254,000,000 cubic meters of ocean water daily!

This actually could turn out to be A LOT LESS expensive than building
dams and levees and massive pumping stations in cities and towns that
are vulnerable to rising ocean levels.

    Isaiah 35:

35 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [with] the recompense of God; he will come and save you.

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

7 And the glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Up until now the amount of H2O being added to the central region of Antarctica has saved our coastal communities.

Around 7 billion + persons all containing 50-65% water.

Just something I came to think of remembering something someone said once,
that there is only a decided amount of water,
in the clouds and the sea.

    IDK

That must include underground streams too.

When the soldier stack a spear into his side there came out blood and water.

    Maybe for another thread.

Here is an interesting chapter from the Book of Adam and Eve that was preserved into our time period in Ethiopic Coptic, (if I remember correctly).... but I suspect the original language of this document was probably Hebrew but all the copies of this in Europe got burned.

Christianity is based on a public revelation, not private experiences. So, no.

But at least there are cases where a near death experience can transform a Skeptic into a believer.

So? I read that book too, at one time . Anne Rice wrote the forward. But Howard Storm never claimed to have a public revelation or to be a prophet.

True....... but he was shown a lot of things during his near death experience and I do believe that he recorded them as faithfully as he humanly could do and I have heard many interviews from him and he always seems to be exceptionally sincere and honest about the humbling that he took during his NDE.

He had a really good career at the time of his NDE.... he gave it up.... and went back to school to become a Theologian. His wife divorced him due to this decision and to the changes in the he thought and changed after his NDE.

BTW, the Rev. Howard Storm is a retired minister in the United Church of Christ.
He said in one interview I saw that the book he wrote was edited a bit for general audiences, and he wanted to clarify that he only believed in Jesus, not any religion.

But I wouldn't really want to base my spiritual life on these accounts. Mostly because , as interesting as these accounts are, I think its difficult to really pull away from it anything particularly deep that functions in a way that religion does in peoples lives.

I read Anita Moorjani's book, Dying to be Me, also. It was also moving. She is a nominal Hindu who isn't religious. But I found the book's overall message something I couldn't really relate to. She had a profound experience, but I think its difficult to communicate that to other people, especially from a different culture

And Ms. Moorjani's account was something I struggled with alot. It was so confusing and rambling to read her book, even though I do understand something of Hinduism. Her experience seems to have given her a sense of self-respect she did not have before, in a culture that didn't seem to give much self-esteem. And she suggests her cancer was caused by absorbing negativity (?) which is a very questionable concept. Despite the fact it was a rambling book without a deep, coherent message, I'm glad her cancer went into remission and she found a sense of peace in her life, though.

I don,t know if it was his left side or right side that was pierced by the spear, but there are thoughts that Jesus died of a broken heart,
as far as I know the heart is on the left side,
which would mean, according to some is why there came out both water and blood.

But I suspect there is much deeper meanings,

Yes.....surely there must be a connection with.......

John 7:38 "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."

Yes........ but the religious officials at the time of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus and Lazarus who he had resurrected after four days....... wanted to kill Lazarus........ and this could have been due to his ability to draw crowds as some near death experiencers are also doing in this time period?????

    Christian Forums

43 And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 He that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

    Christian Forums

10 But the chief priests took counsel that they might put Lazarus also to death; 11 because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

Something of a common ground being found for various religions is being illustrated in the direction that this discussion is going in:

What about the Roman Catholic idea of Purgatory?
