Right now there's a lot of talk about the possibility how many movie theaters around where I live (if not all) will go out of business permanently. This whole entire Coronavirus has pushed back production on a lot of movies and release dates. A lot of movies are currently being released on streaming since although I enjoy going to the movies it has really gotten more and more expensive to go there anyways,.. so people just want to enjoy movies in the comfort of their own homes. What do you guys think?

With a wall-sized TV screen, and a popcorn vending machine that charges $5 per bag, you can have pretty much the same experience at home. So no more need for theaters,

Yeah, but it's still that experience of going out and going to one with my friends and family that I find magical. :)

I agree. But in the future, I do not see movies as providing the excuse for getting together. Stage plays, concerts, sports events, yes.

Gee,.. I wonder why. Your status says that you're married. My guess is that you've probably been to quite a few of them in your lifetime. Especially if you have children. :D
Actually no. Just a couple but I thought it was fun. No kids btw.

Let me just give you a little clue,.. sometimes it gets a little hot and steamy at the drive-in and the popcorn has nothing to do with it. :D

:ahah:

I will totally miss the experience of watching in the theaters. However, I’ve adjusted to this whole streaming era.
LOVE drive-ins though, I just wished we had that option where I’m from.

city girl here :bye:

I didn't know that it was ever that cheap to go to a movie.
I remember when I was a kid we went to the theater for 50 cents and it was that much to get in you could stay as long as you wanted at that screen and we would watch movies for about 5-6 hours sometimes.
