Will Hollywood have a major role in the End?....

You hear how Hollywood promotes a lot of things that are against the Bible. In my opinion it seems to be getting worse. It seems that Hollywood wants to get the public away from God more and more. Also, most of the celebs (young and old) that are heavely in the spotlight are the celebs that do not seem to support Jesus or the Bible.
What are your thoughts on this topic, do you think that Hollywood has a big part in helping the Anti-Christ?

Hi smilingheart Well, tonight Barbara Striesand is giving a big dinner in support of Barack Obama. The reception and dinner costs $28,500 followed by an event that costs $ 2,500 a ticket. All Obama's campaign is wanting to get is 9 million lol. They got 66 million last month in donations, so they must want a totol of $75 million. Here we have Wall Street going in the toilet, and the Presidential candidate is rolling in the dough Where's the justice ? As far as Hollywood helping the Antichrist, the spirit of the Antichrist is already there by some of the movies that they put out. Quite a few of the actors in Hollywood are into Scientology. The way that I see this is, if you aren't on Gods side, you are on the Devils, no matter where you are. I live about 2 hours from Hollywood, and I refuse to go down there. i saw some videos from 'truthseekers' about this subject.. they did a bit by bit breakdown of the subtle ideas in 'the trueman show'.. i suppose that if no-one in hollywood is a christian, then the films are going to be anti-christian.. and they are. in the main, all of them'.. besides being mostly rubbish and unwatchable.. there are a few which are ok and don't have an anti-christian theme.. i think that the message is so subtle that it would be lost on most people, so they are waisting their time trying to promote it.. i think there are worse culprits than hollywood.. the tv companies over here are terrible.. and that includes the BBC now.

When ever I go to Target, Walmart and even Barnes and Noble, it seems that I am seeing Obama's photo on the cover of US, People, Star, In Touch, etc... I do see McCain but not nearly as much as I see Obama. Most of these magazines that I have listed are hollywood type magazines.... Even the old folks that do the news say that they have never seen an election like this in their lives. I am 58, and I agree. I really don't think that it is all because of a black/white man running, or a woman.....Palin now instead of Hillary. It is part of it, but not all. There have been blacks and women run for various offices of government before and won. This is a very strange campaign, and I believe it is orchestrated for the winner and the times...Obama. He has been like a rabbit who kept escaping the traps that should have caught him. Even his campaign slogan I feel is significant...CHANGE. Ya, for sure!!!

Now I will have to admit that I love that program on BBC and they show it on Lifetime, How Clean Is Your House? with Aggie and Kim I have never seen such disgustingly dirty homes in my life!!! They actually take cultures of the filth and tell the people what diseases they are breeding. I love British humor anyway.
My idea of two shows out of Hollywood with mind altering affects are The Simpsons and Family Guy. Those target the kids minds. These children are so rude that if I had kids like that I would revert back to the OT and stone them to death outside the city lol. Homer isn't exactly the epitomy of someone to look up to for commom sense and brains. I hate it when they make fun of the Christian neighbor Ned, or they will show Homer in church asleep. I don't watch these programs in my home, but my daughter has them on in hers. I usually watch the old shows at night like Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke, Hogans Heros, Lucy, the Westerns channel, and if there is a good horror flick on I will watch that All the rest of the time the election coverage during the day if my tv is turned on.
The last time that I drove through Hollywood...several years ago, it was nothing but glitz and glamour around the shops area. People with fancy cars and women carrying miniture poodles under one arm while carrying shopping bags in the other. Now from what I have seen on tv, there are a lot of stages of undress and young people hanging around on the streets..looking for what I don't know. There are street ministries down there, so hopefully they are getting the Word fed to them.
It isn't only the programs on tv, but the commercials even have sexual innuendos now. The local cable and internet provider that I am on has a commercial that is basically saying the same thing as the Viagra commercial. I about fell off of the couch when I first saw that one. It's all about anything that will sell these days..no matter what.

Hollywood and the television networks are doing the work of satan now, regardless if they help in usher the antichrist or not. I don't have cable myself, too much bad stuff for my kids on there so they watch mostly dvds and such. (but I do have a huge soft spot for westerns!)

I think that Hollywood helps draw people away from God.. and yes, probably the devil has a role in this. In fact, I'm pretty sure of this.

during the coming tribulation will depend on a lot
of different things. For one, how do we define
Hollywood? As the actual movie and television
production studios clustered in Hollywood (a district
of the city of Los Angeles) and nearby cities such as
North Hollywood, Burbank, Van Nuys, etc.? If so, will
this Hollywood survive the Big One (the huge
earthquake) that's supposed to wipe out southern
California? If this earthquake happens close to the
start of the coming tribulation (say in 2010),
Hollywood could be out of commission during the
tribulation.

But can we define Hollywood more broadly as the
writers, producers, directors, actors, editors,
technical assistants (e.g. makeup, lighting, audio),
etc. who, even if an earthquake wiped out all of the
production and post-production facilities in the
Los Angeles area, could pick up and move to New York
or Bollywood or anywhere else with a lot of production
and post-production facilities and continue making
movies and TV programs just as before?

This poses the question of whether "Hollywood" should
be restricted just to movies and TV programs made by
production companies based in the Los Angeles area,
or if it could include all the movies and TV programs
made in the U.S., no matter in what city the
production companies were based. For many of the
movies and TV programs watched in the U.S. aren't
made by production companies based in the Los Angeles
area.

And if the question is whether Hollywood will play a
major role in shaping the mindsets of people during
the tribulation, why not include the news media, which
probably have a far greater impact on how people view
what's actually going on in the world than any
fictional movies or TV programs. The news media filter
and shape the news in any way which will increase
ratings or otherwise help the interests of the
plutocracy which owns and controls the companies
which produce the news.

The Antichrist could be an extremely wealthy person
(Ezekiel 28:4-5) who could outright buy whole movie
studios and television networks and turn them into
the instruments of his propaganda, so that not only
the "factual" news, but seemingly-innocent fictional
movies and television programs could all be directed
at preparing the mindset of the masses of the world
to accept the world-reign of the Antichrist as a good
and necessary thing.

The media and movies are the new "opium of the
masses", in effect drugging them into a mental stupor
with endless entertainment and "infotainment" until
the masses forget to think anything for themselves:
it's all input and no output. It's all mindless
experience and no rational cogitation or analysis,
for even the latter is spoon-fed to the masses by
"pundits", especially on cable news, so that no one
needs to think about what to think about anything:
just listen to "the panel" pontificate about what's
really going on until you fall asleep in front of
the TV.

So the Antichrist will no doubt take the reins of
the whole mass-media entertainment and "information"
system and skillfully, gradually direct it until it's
brainwashing ("informing") everyone in the world 24-7
that he's the greatest guy who's ever lived.

I used to watch the simsons.. but then i started getting fed up with it.. and then i found out there was a hidden agenda with that show.. I've seen a few of 'how clean is your house' but i dont like the fat one.. she's a 'scrubber'.. that's what we call them over here.. not because they scrub.. they just dont have any class.. and i doubt she'll be reading this forum.. or that someone will go and tell her i said she was a scrubber.. the mods night replace my comment with something kinder....

Hollywood's basic agenda is making money. Movies are
made to sell tickets. TV shows are made to get
ratings, which means money from advertisers. The love
of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). It
turns out that movies and TV shows with some evil in
them usually make more money than those which have
been scrubbed clean of all evil.

And even those which appear to have been scrubbed
clean of all evil can still involve a more subtle
evil, such as holding up humanism and materialism as
the highest ideals, instead of the worship of Jesus
(John 20:28) and daily service to him (Luke 9:23).
It's somewhat bizarre that in supposedly Christian
nations, one almost never hears the name of Jesus in
movies and on TV except as a swear-word. Christian
movies and TV shows are for some reason almost always
shunted off into their own little realm, cut off from
Hollywood's usual distribution and broadcast channels.
It could be that "Christian" doesn't sell. Most people
in "Christian" countries could like that name, but not
really want to have anything to do with Jesus in their
daily lives (Titus 1:16), especially in their
entertainment, when a little "spice" (as in evil) is
sought out instead.

Hollywood has already had a great deal to do with the
coarsening of those who call themselves Christians.
Because of how much iniquity abounds in movies and on
TV, the love of many Christians for the worship of
Jesus and daily service to him has grown cold (Matthew
24:12).
