Wild Foraging, Scotland edition....

Took the dogs for a forest walk yesterday after work & ended up with this
About 2 kg of Chanterelles and 4 liters of blairs. (Wild Scottish blueberries)

Looks wonderful.

I was hiking with my son the other day and we could have picked several pints of wild blueberries if we had had the foresight to bring anything in which to carry them. There were also some interesting looking mushrooms, but I'm not educated enough to know which are safe in the fungi world, so we left them alone.

God certainly provides a bountiful natural harvest if one seeks it, and knows what to look for.

Yup, & now I know where to go to get more next weekend

Last nights dinner
Slow grilled Pork ribs, BBQ pineapple, asparagus & peppers & fried chanterelles with smoked garlic

& Breakfast, eggs, smoked bacon & more chanterelles with truffle salt & smoked garlic

Rice noodle ramen with last of the chanterelles, Crispy pork rib, Lobster, Prawns etc....
