The total number of people dying from gun violence has been decreasing for decades, yet mass shooting seem to be more common than before. I think what is happening is that everyone feels stronger pressure to avoid violence and for a few people that results in them holding in their anger until it boils over even more destructively. Overall we are the safest we’ve ever been, so we shouldn’t want to go back to the way it was before, though we need to work on finding safe ways for people to express their feelings of anger and alienation, or fixing the causes of those feelings.

I by and large agree with you. We've had it drilled into us, for good or for bad, that we have to walk on pins and needles around each other to the point that many people may be bottling up their emotions until they snap.

High dosage SSRI medication seems to be one of the common denominators in these shootings.
The other one is that the shooters were known to be ticking timebombs.
Would be convenient to use them for political goals, like gun control (i.e. banning 2A)
Controversial stuff obviously...

Nations with stricter gun control laws have fewer mass shootings. The NRA has funded politicians who oppose gun control. Such campaign contributions are blood money. The Federal government was not able to ban bump stocks. They should ban bump stocks and assault rifles.

I would support a tax on gun sales, that would make money for the government instead of wasting it like most control measures would, and would be as effective as anything in reducing the number of guns out there. There may be other reasons Europe’s gun violence is lower—if you look at South America you don’t find any correlation between the strictness of gun control and the amount of gun deaths.

yet mass shooting seem to be more common

May I suggest that the coldcasedetective has a good sumery of the varrious problems that lead to these incidents:-

An Increase in Social Media Use, unable to escape from social preasure and its affect on self esteam.

An Increased Dependency on Prescription Medicine, that removes the responcibility for ones actions and the need for close parent child interaction.

An Increase in Single Parent Households, Men have a responsibility to raise up their boys, and when they shirk this responsibility we see tragic results.

A Decrease In Traditional Christian Values

There is one common denominator in all the mass shootings: guns. That will never change, so we’ll always have the problem.

The same can be said for mass stabbings (knives), bombings (bombs) brawls (fists, feet, clubs, chains).

Or, some people are emotionally immature, and choose to release their pressures through the vector of attempted attempted mass-murder.

Not exercise, daredevil activities or even fighting. Mass-murder.

This was foretold, no?

Actually I believe that while there are more guns out there they are in the hands of fewer gun owners. Thus fewer people own guns. (I'm posting this as opinion only. I haven't researched it.)

Yeah but not less crime deaths or death by illegal weapons.
In fact, states with strict gun control there are more shooting deaths.
The NRA has funded politicians who oppose gun control. Such campaign contributions are blood money.
That's nonsense considering the actual facts. It is however the echo chamber narrative.
By the way, globalist / communist / socialist minded organisations and "philantrophists" fund those who oppose the 2nd amendment.
The Federal government was not able to ban bump stocks. They should ban bump stocks and assault rifles.
I thought they did ban bumpstocks actually? Maybe not yet through.

Either way, as you can see those shootings help the anti 2A propaganda.
Unfortunately people don't seem to really care about what causes them.
And without guns you could make a bomb or poison.
Who wants to kill will find a way.
But without gun owners you can not defend yourself against those things.

Yes, some power craving satanic megalomaniacs are definitely evil.

No, those shooters are crazy, on high doses of SSRI medication, known to the authorities beforehand.
And then there is this "Voice of God" thing too, sometimes.

Is abolishing the right to bear arms important enough to do whatever it takes to get people to agree to disarm?
And do you think criminals will disarm accordingly?

Look at that little Hogg weasel propagandising to the clueless snowflake millenials with his horse manure.
Whatever it takes...

Only shootings that fit the anti gun narrative make it to the news channels.

But there's a cultural aspect to the shootings too.
I guess it's the demise of Christian values actually.
Too big ego's feeling they're failing in life and wanting to make a name for themselves.
Maybe violent products from entertainment industry (games, movies, TV).
Loneliness and broken homes.
Depression => medication
Communities and law enforcement failing to deal with this.

It's very sad.

Then there's that "correlation/causation" thing to consider. Millions are on varieties of mind-altering medication cocktails, but only a few turn into killers. I think there something else going on with them.......they are evil, and the meds open the door for that evil to manifest.

Yes, but these young kids, calling them evil, while i.m.h.o. they're just a product of their environment.

By the way, people must have noticed that so many of these shootings occur during days on which there were emergency drills going on, or were planned.

I would like to know what the heck is going on too.
These cases smell of satan's socks more often than not.

The regular media doesn't address anything other than the narrative, as we know (or should by now).

You feel bad for the "kids" because you may remember in your cultural time you could be a kid up to drinking age. The consequence of this earth realm trying to be hell is that kids come out of the womb with killer instinct. This will happen more often.

Isn't it a beautiful nightmare: a future full of aimless youth, and adults too scared to say or do anything about it?
