Why, oh Why, do Christian Forums always attract weirdos?

I am on 3 Christian forums. I was on a few others. And I find good people here. But there are also these people who espouse strange, fringe, unsupportable theories. They hijack serious threads with strange ideas and people refuse to discuss things when they show up.

Being a Christian, I am commanded to support the weak. But I am also to rebuke fools. I try to, but lose my cool.

FWIW it isn't just on Christian forums. I know of one humanist to whom the remark was made by a skeptic, "Only you, if that many, know what you are talking about."

But there are many types of people, different mindsets, different modes of thinking, different habits and tendencies, different interests, and probably of nearly all those types, there are Christians. I know of one believer who is so unlike myself I can hardly carry a serious conversation about anything with him. He considers himself as possessing of the gift of evangelism, and all I hear him talking about with unbelievers is trying to 'close the sale'. (I call him a 'hit and run' evangelist). There are the more charismatic types whose idea of a forum more closely resembles a worship service. My feeling about their mentality— "I can't even..." Then there are the incoherent ones, the logical mad, who get a notion in their mind that appeals to them, grasping it like a dog with a bone, and then pursue all logically necessary implications and corollaries of the notion. It is of these that GK Chesterton wrote, “If you argue with a madman, it is extremely probable that you will get the worst of it; for in many ways his mind moves all the quicker for not being delayed by the things that go with good judgment.”

But God uses them all, and I thank God for them.

None of us are quite right.

"For now we see in a mirror, dimly,
but then face to face.
Now I know in part,
but then I shall know just as I also am known." 1 Cor. 13:12 NKJV

"Beloved, now we are children of God;
and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be,
but we know that when He is revealed,
we shall be like Him,
for we shall see Him as He is.
And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself,
just as He is pure." 1 John 3:2-3 NKJV

I'm surprised this picture of me keeps circulating on the internet, when the science has shown that mayonnaise is much more effective than aluminum foil.

But seriously, the internet brings us all together.

In real life, I sometimes stop by a Catholic Church during Friday Mass. There used to be a very nice gentleman there who had schizophrenia. He only attended for part of the Mass, and his method of participation was, umm, unique.

But schizophrenics have a place in the body of Christ too, and I'm glad the priest just moved right along.

I don't block or ban people either, only one type of person, and those I would just report. The ones who are trolling for inappropriate relationships.
Yeah it’s kind of gross when people come to a Christian Forum and all they are doing is trawling for trouble in several forms.
