How is the urim and thummin more tedious than the rock in the hat?

Using the Urim and Thummin took more time and was more cumbersome. It took Joseph Smith 63 days to translate the 118 pages of the Book of Lehi and all of it was lost. It only took 65 days using the seer stone to translate or receive through the seer stone the entire Book of Mormon.
