yeah you're right. I am joking, I do not believe God had anything at all to do with the deaths and genocide as written by ancient bible writers. Natural disasters happen all through history and none of the victims were any more or less deserving of judgement "From God" than others. People groups often rationalize their violence as from God. Doesn't make it true.

Its called religion not science, I filter the stories through the fact that they are the perceptions of ancient people experiencing God. People are NOT perfect this is a known fact.
I am not going to say there is no God for I cannot know.
I am seeking and hope to experience for myself.
I have had some personal experiences that make me go hmmmm

Each time people were killed in the bible, a reason was given, including for the flood. It certainly wasn't because they were "innocent".

Why do you pick out only the "here and now" ? It's one thing to say you don't believe in scripture it's another when you are misrepresenting what it claims. The scripture clearly states death is not the end only the beginning. And don't think about misquoting Ecclesiastes as Solomon continuously used phases like "under the sun" and "I said to my heart" in that book.
You are taking the atheist belief that the material world is all there is and trying to apply it to God. If you believe the material world is all there is then take the Bible advice to eat ,drink and be merry for tomorrow you die.
