The bible clearly states that gluttony is a sin and that the body is a temple of the holy spirit and should be honored.

It would seem then that people who are overweight are clearly in sin (barring medical conditions)

So why is it acceptable to be a fat pastor in sin, but not a gay pastor in sin?

We do not look at a fat priest and judge him. That is up to his bishop. Gluttony is a private sin best left to his father confessor. Homosexuality is a public sin demonstrating that a person has fallen away from the faith.

It is the same to say of a homosexual priest who does not flaunt his sin. It is left to the bishop.

Homosexuality is a special sin because its not natural. It shows a total perversion of one's mind.

Do you not eat in public?

Also, does that mean if a homosexual does it in secret it's ok?

I've never seen a fat priest overeat in public. And I've certainly never seen a priest raise a plate up to heaven to defy God.

    Huh what?
Its natural to desire for a woman, its natural to eat, its not natural to desire a sex with the same gender. Its against nature, its perverted.

Most sins are just natural things out of control, homosexuality is against nature.

I've seen plenty of fat Christians stuffing themselves at buffets and restaurants, often in a group of other Christians.

not sure I see your point

There is not "your nature" or "mine nature". There is only nature.

By nature I mean the natural order of things.

Much better than to support them in their desperate and unhappy life style.

    In reply to the OP...

For one thing, it is not necessarily the case that being overweight is a result of gluttony. Nor even voluntary.

Homosexual acts are, however, a matter of choice.

Feel free to sit in judgment of them. But I don't recommend it.

I don’t think being fat means that person has sin, or has necessary committed gluttony (is characterized by a limitless appetite for food and drink and overindulgence to the point where one is no…). But anyway, at least that person knows for what different body parts are for. If person would try to eat through his ear, because it is also hole in the head, I would think that could be compared to having gay sex.
