If you understand that tribalism and collectivism go hand in hand, then this is not a mystery. Tribalism and racism are the natural outcomes of collectivism. Collectivism is rising now in the world and so therefore so is tribalism. Look at the BLM movement. Look at the 99 percent movement. Look at the haves vs. the have nots rhetoric. Look at Critical Race Theory being everywhere in schools. Look at the rise of groups like the Proud Boys and Antifa. How do you control people? How do you introduce a new political system right under peoples noses? By dividing and conquering, that's how. Keep them busy hating each other and thinking the other is the problem and you don't notice what the government is doing. When the economy and society collapse, it's this group or that group that is the problem.

I have not seen anti-Semitism in the left nor any support for Jihadists. I have noticed the left being highly critical of the State if Israel for its near genocidal treatment of the Palestinian people. This is quite justified and is not anti-Semitic. Note also that the Palestinian people are also Semitic.

I think it's because irrationality and force go hand in hand, you don't have one without the other, and Nazism is certainly irrational. Irrationality is at the root of all evils in the world. The Nazis were and are explicitly anti-reason and anti-conceptual. That can only lead to tribalism and violence.

OH, yes, of course. Irrationalism is a component of all evil government systems. Fascism, communism, socialism, authoritarianism of all kinds have two things in common: the sanction of the initiation of force and the treating of the group as the standard of the good. In all these systems the individual is expendable to the group or the state or the collective. The individual must sacrifice for the whole. And when one sacrifices it's the mind that is sacrificed first. None of these systems would "work" on the premises of individual rights and rational egoism.

In fact, IF Donald was a narcissistic sociopath (which former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan seemed to suspect he might be), he might derive some sense of satisfaction or even pleasure from manipulating people in such a way...now, bear in mind that this applies equally to both the Neo-Nazis and his son-in-law.

We do have to keep in mind that, when slandering Trump, the rule is "anything goes."

It's just as likely that we'd read that he's anti-Semitic despite all the evidence to the contrary as to read their expose claiming that he eats caterpillars for breakfast every day.

They invented the same nonsense for dealing with George Bush and will do so for whoever the next prominent Republican is.
