• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  3. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.

Why don't people accept me for who I am?

As long as people treat me like crap or ignore me because of my differences, I will be starving. Not for food and water, but for crystal clear explanations that make perfect sense to me based on my own logic about their refusal to accept the fact that I am no worse than they are. I have as much moral worth and value as they do in God's eyes. If other people deserve respect, I do too, because I am just another person on this planet. Not a criminal, witch, or retard. Certainly not demon-possessed. Just a person who happens to be on the autistic spectrum. When others are mean to me I am mean back for a reason: eye for an eye, hand for a hand, foot for a foot. The only reason I don't have that problem now is I have been banned from the evil forums.

Neurotypicals treat you like crap because they favor social skills over things like empathy, honesty, genuineness, and loyalty?

    I never would have guessed.

The Ekklesia do not accept anything that is sinful in their own lives, nor in other persons lives. When , or rather if? , you post anything that could be teaching others to disobey God's Word, that is sinful, and is not acceptable.

Clean clear truth is not available on this forum, so do not expect it. The forum is open to everyone on earth who can get internet access to it. Every word , every bit, must be judged by those Ekklesia who are able by Yahuweh's Purpose to judge, and
that which does not line up with His Word is not acceptable.

PUre, perfect, peace and unlimited Joy is the possession of everyone in Christ Jesus in Truth and Grace, as Yahuweh's Word states clearly and often.

Or, as may be the case, neuro problems are not a problem in the assembly of Ekklesia -
but sin is a problem. As it comes up or is posted.

You are a person fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, woven and knit together by Him and created for His glory.

Every time you think that you are different, just remember that God made us all unique and special, with our own abilities, skills, and talents. He made you to be you and loves you because you are you.

I am not specifically complaining about this forum. Insensitive replies here are misunderstandings. I don't want CF to be the only message board I can safely post on with people knowing I have Asperger's.

Life changed for me in 1969 when Jesus made me to know that even if no one else accepted me for who I am, He did, and if there was anything He didn't like about me, He would change it. This directed my faith to Him and away from the attitudes and opinions of others.

People are unique, thank God! it's okay to be different or to be a new Christian who is just learning, or to have a condition that makes you different than an average person. What is average anyway? I'm glad that there are loving people who tolerate those who are slightly different or very different.

They are ignorant and/or not being sensitive of your condition. However, being mean back to them is not the answer ... perhaps being upfront with your condition and always include a "link" to information about your condition, (in all your posts) so they may become more informed about it?

If they continue to be mean to you after being informed then just don't engage in conversation with them anymore, and pray for them.

People should always treat each other with dignity, and respect. That being said, "tit for tat" is not the correct way to do things. You should stick up for yourself, and defend yourself when required, but seeking revenge on someone is not right. As far as "eye for an eye" those were judicial punishments in ancient Israel and should not be used to justify vengeful acts in the present, at least among the citizenry.

One other thing I might mention, the term "retard" is a really hurtful, and dirty word to many people. If you want people's respect, then you have to earn it, and using derogatory terms like that just sets you back.

I wouldn't tell people about your personal life on a public forum if you expect to receive such treatment.

Snoder. His insults toward me and Rene were what got him banned and a thread locked.

Comparing one's self to others is a sure exercise in frustration and futility. No one ever benefitted from it. "Clear explanations" about our relationship to God and His creatures that are not from scripture are of little value.

"Respect" is a much-abused word today. Respect was, until very recently, a thing that was rendered only to people who earned it. As a result, actual respect has become an endangered commodity altogether. The word that fits the purpose of what most people now refer to as "respect" is actually "dignity" or "human dignity." This is a much more effective and valuable expression, simply because it is much more accurate and, therefore, much, much more powerful. There is just enough of the correct meaning in the word "respect" in most peoples minds to leave room for argument as to whether a person is deserving of it. Not so at all with "dignity." In fact, dignity is due regardless of any merit on the part of its object. We don't even deserve it. It is afforded to us by the virtue of God, Himself as our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer. It is non-negotiable. Even poor, dumb animals are due it.

Our confusion about this causes "I" trouble. Examine your post and note the frequency with which you refer to yourself. The very essence of God's character is other-centered, self-sacrificing love. He bids us become like Him because He knows that He has created us in a way that can experience blessedness (happiness) no other way.

The "eye-for-an-eye" model of justice on earth ended when the theocracy in which God, Himself, presided over Israel ended due to their rejection of Him as their king.

Friend, it is within your power not to allow the behavior of others or the administration of online forums, right or wrong, disturb the peace between Jesus and your own soul which, by His promise is yours for the mere asking.

Please contact me if I might encourage you further. And may God (and He will) bless you.

In that case everyone who is saved has dignity.
