Why does God hide himself from society? Why doesn't he make Himself more known to the world so that everyone can know him and trust him?

Why does it make more sense to God have the world doubting his existence and thus requiring a lot of faith to believe and trust Him?

Wouldn't more people be saved if God revealed himself to the whole world today?

Jesus himself literally walked on water, raised the dead, healed the blind, healed the sick, turned water to wine, died and rose again from the dead, and there were many who witnessed these things that STILL didn't believe him.

So God knows that even if he does everything to try and convince us, there will always be some with hardened hearts who still refuse to believe, which is why God's currency is faith.

One day, though, everyone will know the truth whether they believe it or not, because they'll be on their face in front of the throne giving an account to God for their sin. Prior to that, though, the Lord will come back upon this earth after the sun is darkened, the moon turns to blood, the stars fall from heaven, and a great earthquake. Then the heavens will be rolled back as a scroll and the Son of Man will be seen coming in the glory of his Father with the clouds in great power. Then all the nations upon the earth will wail and weep at his coming, terrified at the sight of him, for then shall be the days of his great wrath upon the earth, and all men shall be tormented for their evils.

No point.

The Israelites didn’t believe in God despite all that He did in their sight.

God has already done enough. He doesn’t constantly have to prove Himself. You either you believe or you don’t.

God is not in hiding. The problem is that people don't want to acknowledge God exists. The enemy will attempt to blind those who don't believe but his methods are a cheap imitation of God. All that you need to know about God is there for you to see.

I have been viewing this sight for quite sometime and almost everysingle post consist of questions that are easily answered by study of the scriptures without any preconcieved notion just as a child would come to Christ and the word. Too many are seeking the counsel of men and not of the Holy Spirit

Generalizing:

Because we don't want him to. Every sin is a rejection of God and pushes him farther from us. This is the fault of humans. God is doing everything he can to push against our darkness, but in the end, he will not impose himself on anyone against their will.

More people would not be saved if he revealed himself to the world. It would increase how much people that reject him are accountable to God for (increasing their punishment, Luke 12:47-48), and reduce the reward for those that had faith in him.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29, 1984 NIV)

For those that believe in him, a closer connection to him than can be imagined is available (→ Mark 12:30).

God reveals Himself inside each person.

For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although, not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them (Romans 2:14,15).

Because the thing which can be known about God is evident in them, because God made it known to them. (Romans 1:19)

Everyone knows there is a God. The evidence is all around us. In fact, the Creator designed the universe so that His many invisible attributes would be “clearly seen” in the things He made, so that we are “without excuse” (Romans 1:20).

Ezekiel 38:23

"I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD."'

God reveals Himself in nature.

Despite his wonders, they did not believe. (Psalm 78:32, ESV)

1 The heavens declare the glory of God,and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.

4 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.

In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,

and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens,

and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Men refuse God's revelation on their own.

The judgment of God is not withheld because men refuse to receive the revelation (Rom. 1:18).

Satan blinds the minds of those that are perishing, who do not believe, to prevent the light of the gospel from shining on them with understanding.
Satan can not prevent Satan from blinding all people, God shines His light out from those He has chosen to save, in fact God commanded His light to shine in our hearts. What you see here is an active will of God for God to shine His light in our hearts for those who God has foreknown as His people.

If Satan could prevent all persons from having that light shine on them, then you assuredly know he would do so, by he can not stop God from saving His foreknown to Him elect.
2 Corinthians 4
3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.

6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
