If there was so much data, you wouldn't be an agnostic, would you?

In other words, I don't believe you.

I shed the agnostic label years ago. Perhaps I should change it here as well.

In other words, I don't believe you.

You don't need to believe me. Look at the data.

I think being an agnostic is perfectly justifiable on the basis that none of that data is necessarily relevant to the question of gods. It might rule out the Christian God, or rather a YEC understanding, but that's just one of many possibilities.

Evidence for a global flood
What sort of geologic evidence is there for a global flood? Please do not deviate off into tangents about evolution. This is strictly about geology.

The Genesis Flood: Why the Bible Says It Must be Local

When you read an English translation of the biblical account of the flood, you will undoubtedly notice many words and verses that seem to suggest that the waters covered all of planet earth. However, one should note that today we look at everything from a global perspective, whereas the Bible nearly always refers to local geography.

You may not be able to determine this fact from our English translations, so we will look at the original Hebrew, which is the word of God. The Hebrew words which are translated as "whole earth" or "all the earth" are kol (Strong's number H3605), which means "all," and erets (Strong's number H776), which means "earth," "land," "country," or "ground."4 We don't need to look very far in Genesis (Genesis 2) before we find the Hebrew words kol erets.

Creationists have major envy it seems. They keep trying to pretend they practice science.
Phil makes no pretence on how he views science

The envy is greater than that -- they want to be important and respected in the world, but don't realize that the best way to do that is to produce something useful.

Then don't tell me there's data and expect me to believe you.

I've been saying this for over five years, and I'll continue to say it:

There is no data in existence that points to creatio ex nihilo in Genesis 1.

Oh, I think my Boolean standards can make allowances for clean water and medicine.

Last 100,000 years would be good.

There is no evidence of a global flood in the last 100,000 years. However, this doesn't stop young earth creationists from claiming that there was a recent global flood some 4,000 years ago. You would think that they would need data to back this up, wouldn't they?

Actually, the Noah myth is a retelling of the much older Babylonian myth. Perhaps you are missing the cultural context of the flood myth.

Just remember... you'll have to do away with all that when you and the others move into the "Creationists Only" cave on the uninhabited island in the Pacific!
