Why do people ignore doctor warnings about covid

Why should we listen to them? What are their qualifications vis-a-vis other infectious disease experts? What are their biases? It doesn't seem very wise to simply trust these people because they work for the government.

The qualifications of Drs. Birx, Fauci, Redfield and Adams are readily available.
What more do you want?

Most of these people, Fauci in particular, have shown themselves to be abject morons who flip flop on a routine basis and serve little more purpose than to prop up themselves and their power.

Both the CDC and WHO have flip flopped many times. Fauci originally said masks were useless, he then flip flopped and said he lied due to mask shortages.
Fact is Fauci and most of the medical community had no idea what n95 masks were just 2 years ago. N95 masks are found at places like harbor freight and places that sell Auto Body and wood working equipment. I had a bunch of them for when I worked on restoring my classic car, was thinking about putting them on eBay as they were selling for alot in March.

Anyhow various places have used various steps to curtail covid with varying successes. Vietnam has had very few cases and no one knows why. Sweden has done just as well (or just as bad) with very limited lockdowns as the rest of Europe with harsh lockdowns. Greece did well initially with draconian measures (you had to text the government and get authorization to leave your apartment) , lifted them during the summer and now have reinstated those draconian measures because they realize it doesn't go away and basically will require house arrest for everyone till vaccine.

N95 masks are for industrial use. Home Depot has them, your walk in clinic never had them up until this year.

No, but are you questioning that masks have not been mandatory (for 8 months) and that's the reason why Covid hasn't died out?
Or that those who've worn masks have been incapable of getting covid?
