Because talking to a "communist" nation is not inherently treasonous, especially when it's a tiny nation that sits next door to yours and offers no threat on any level about any thing.

Russia on the other hand annexed Crimea, invaded Ukraine, and interfered in your election process.

Obama never met with Fidel Castro.

He met with his brother Raul who had taken over as President of Cuba after Fidel stepped down due to illness.

Not the same guy.

When he met with the Cuban leader, Obama never compromised or undermined US intelligence agencies. That is the fundamental point you seem to be ignoring.

No one was calling Trump a traitor just for meeting with Putin. He became a traitor when he publicly took Putin's word over US intelligence.

If it is treason to express doubt about the validity of the American intelligence over Russian hacking of Democratic emails, why wasn’t it treason to doubt the validity of the claims of the same agencies about WMD in Iraq?
When it comes to treason, and giving legitimacy to the worlds tin pot dictators, millions of dollars of American cash being delivered to the Fascists of Iran shows just how sincere the Democrats are when it comes to making the worse actors on the world stage comfortable.
Putin is a thug and a man whose ambition is to weaken America. Trump is the third president who has neglected to mention that.
One might think then that Dems would be pleased when he speaks strongly against the other thugocracies of the world, such as NK rocket man or the Iranian mother’s of all mothers in ALLCAPS.
Dems are quite happy to press the reset button on American policy of opposing evil dictators when they are in the power chair. It is all hot air when they oppose Trump for following suit.

How many times do we need to point out that this is a blatant lie? Seriously?

1) It wasn't American cash, it was Iranian.
2) The cash was payment from Iran to the US for military equipment that the US never delivered.
3) America was about to lose a case in an international tribunal which would have likely cost the US billions more in interest payments.

Oh and incidentally, Iran are not fascist, they're a theocratic state which actually has a surprising amount of democracy. Ruhani is actually a reformist moderate who was elected by the people against the wishes of their supreme leader and the powerful religious council. It says a lot about Trump that he's managed to do everything in his power to undercut a reformist, and force the balance of power in Iran back towards the hardline clerics he supposedly wants to oppose.
