Why do Christians have trouble with accepting Evolution?

If science is truly your domain, Shadowprophet, then why do you have trouble with evolution? Evolution is probably the best-supported theory in modern science. That's why science holds with it. Also, there are plenty of examples of transitional fossils.

Science does not support theory,, that is why it is called theory.. science supports only fact....

people want to use theory to prove their points, and science does not support that.. Nothing is science fact, until it is fact.. then is it called science.. a true scientist looks at evolution no differently then we look at big foot...That Is science fact,, Most modern scientists believe we were seeded here from another race of beings.. modern science has left evolution in the dust..

Again, KW, you are presenting us with your opinions on the matter. OK< fine. Nice to share opinions. However, the opinions of laity are about as worldly wisdom as you can get. Your theory is that Scripture has to be inerrant, right? OK, that is questionable, based on numerous contradictions alone. You are apparently assuming God dictated Scripture word for word. That again is suspicious. You are assuming that the biblical writers were all inerrant in their judgments. That again is questionable. You are also assuming that God would impart advanced scientific information to a prescientific culture. That again is suspicious. I think God works like a careful carpenter. God works with the grain, not against it. It is, therefore, ridiculous to expect that God would have provided any advanced scientific knowledge to them. They would have no idea what was being said to them. Indeed, expecting God to give them advanced scientific knowledge is as ridiculous as assuming God should have given Columbus a nuclear sub. So your theories are weak and need some shoring up. While you may wish to demonize your opponents, they have very sold points to make.

Science, Shadowprophet, does accept evolution as fact. Also, you have yet to answer my question about Darwin. How many children he had is totally irrelevant to the issues at hand. Are you aware that he was about to become an ordained minister before he left on the Beagle? Now, see, something like that is relevant to teh discussion.

Every religion has "evidence". ToE is a religion. Look at how people will use scripture to prove their religion. Prosperity teachers for example, they will use the same "evidence" that others use but others interpret that data differently. Others don't see prosperity preaching but see something else. THis is how ToE becomes a lie, man wants to believe in something that is not true, so he sees what he wants to see. These scientists are not infallible supermen and are just as vulnerable to religious notion as the rest of us are. Thats what ToE is, a religious notion.

Furthermore, they teach their "religious notion" in their school to others who follow it and believe it,even teach it themselves. This is how denominations and movements get started. Theory of Eveolution is no different

Down syndrome isn't a new species because people with Down Syndrome can interbreed with people without down syndrome.

If gravity were real butterflies would not be able to take flight.

After all, the argument made is that the larger mass of the Earth pulls the moon into orbit by the force of gravity. If gravity is so powerful to pull the moon toward the Earth, then this overwhelming mass is powerful enough to hold a few ounce butterfly to the Earth.

It's preposterous to think that oceans can be held to a ball (have you tried that one), but butterflies can't be held to the Earth by this "gravity".

Denser objects fall downward. It's a universal principal. God created the laws.

Also, butterflies fly because of aerodynamics, which is pretty well understood, but whatever.

No they weren't which is why GOD left a RECORD of HIS actions and preserved it for 1,000's of years so those like you would know the truth. You see it always comes back to do YOU believe God through HIS record. We both know the answer to that question is "NO".

Pride is the enemy of man, Some would rather spend time in prideful argument rather then accept that they could be mistaken...

If I am wrong, Then so be it, I will be corrected. I can not be the person I want to be by pridefully arguing about trivial subjects. If someone seeks the truth,, and thirsts for it,, Why would the truth offend them? I welcome the chance to learn, And expect to be wrong from time to time.. But know that Pride is an enemy, pride makes husbands argue with wives, pride makes liars uphold their untruths, pride turns friends against each other, and pride makes one feel small and weak when they don't live up to expectations..


I will humble myself when it is necessary, But I will not spend time arguing the same arguments as my grandfathers. This evolution debate. It has no end to it..

It's not me that's casting doubt on your character because you're doing a fine job of that all by yourself. I didn't say God "evolved" us from dirt God said HE created us from the dirt and your religion of "evolution" has no relation to God or his word but is in fact a doctrine of devils. I'm not here to cast doubt on God's word however that can't be said about you a carnal theologian. As far as your contemporary christian movement goes it's doing far more damage to God's word and Christianity than any atheist could hope for.

After considering the difference between Genesis chapter 1 and 2, and after proving that both chapters are true, i meditated on the garden more, which is found in Chapter 2. What do you guys think of this? Share your opinions, so i can understand better. This is what i see in scripture, but its subject to criticism and correction. So please, share your opinion with me, thank you.

Note that in Genesis it refers to the field, and Paul says that we are Gods field. Note that in Genesis God refers to himself in plural form, and that he says that man should not be alone, singular form. Then he creates a helper for man. Note that the holy spirit is mans helper in John 14. Note that God had not allowed it to rain on the earth yet, and there was no man to till the ground yet, so nothing grew yet. Note also how the apostles water the plants, and the apostles are one, they are not alone either but are of one mind, the mind of Christ, i would assert. There is much here to consider i think.
