Why did the left (as a group) stop protesting against wars?

During the Bush administration and also before that going back to the 1960s, the left (as a group) used to be known for anti-war protests and known for saying they wanted peace. But now there's a lot of talk coming from popular pundits on the left expressing anger and frustration that the U.S. isn't doing enough to provoke various countries in ways that would lead us into wars. Why did the left (as a group) change? By the way, I favor avoidance of wars unless there's no way to avoid it.

I want to make it clear that I'm not saying this about every person who identifies as being to the left.

But I'm referring to the general trend of the group.

I want you to prove it's changed. :)

When was the last time there was a big anti-war protest by people on the left (as a group)?

It used to happen a lot.

The last time there was a big war--Gulf II.
I think Afghanistan has been the biggest in terms of how long it has lasted. The left (as a group) used to protest Bush's wars nearly every day, but they (as a group) stopped protesting war during the Obama years even though the war in Afghanistan continued and other wars added.

True, when was the last time you saw an anti-Vietnam war protest? Of course there are a lot of things being protested right now so maybe Republicans just miss the days when people grew their hair out and protested Vietnam? Burned their draft cards and such....and the rest of your OP? this part:

you have any proof for this? Because while "I don't see a lot of war protests these days." doesn't actually work as proof of a change you must have some proof for this part of the OP, right?
tulc(is just wondering) :)

Not so little from Libya POV, but from ours, yes.

Glad destroying a country to the point that slavery was re-introduced wasn't worth being upset about. Nor all those innocent men, women, and children we droned to death.

...you call Libya a little action?
Ah yes, the obama administrations intervention which opened up europe to millions of "refugees" and brought back slavery to the area.

People only get worked up re a full on war. Iraq was the last one we started.

Little actions here and there only agitate the activists.
So it's just a coincidence that these major protests ended about the time Obama became president even tho we were still in a major war?

For example, leftist reporters and pundits in the media are always trying to goad President Trump into starting a war with Russia.

To be fair, a lot of his followers kept comparing him to God, so maybe they thought the drone missiles were bolts of divine anger.
