Why are you choosing to stay single today?

Besides what that the Lord wants you single today. Name the other reasons why you are single.
Here is my list:

• Men are just way too picky (they will look at me and see that I am not the "fake looking" woman and look away)
• I am getting older
• It has been so VERY long since I was asked out on a date so I can not imagine what it would be like to be in another relationship
• I have been hurt in the past
• I have the gift of celebicy and how many men still have that
• I am picky!!!

Right now that is all that I can come up with...

1. I don't have time with my class schedule, homework, etc.
2. I plan on moving out of state (to South Carolina if at all possible) in the summer of 2006, so there's no point in dating because either I'll end up uprooting someone or ending a relationship when they won't move with me.
3. I'm picky when it comes to men because I've been hurt in the past.

2) At the moment, no job. No job means no money. No money means no dates, especially when you are trying to impress a girl or wanting to give so much to her.

3) Timing and circumstances...

4) I am actually rather hesitant and tactful to the point of not acting until a sufficient time has passed, usually by then losing my chances...

I have been hurt in the past myself but for strange and different reasons as well as also no job and plus I am content with staying and being single because it allows me to do what I want to do and do what I well please. But if God wants me to have a relationship and get married & a family, then that is His timing and way.

That's a pretty sweeping generalization. Maybe they just weren't attracted to you?

I am not currently dating because:

1. Although there have been offers - I don't want to date just for the sake of dating, I want to date for a relationship
2. I am quite happy being single
3. It is obviously God's will for me to be single right now
4. I have been hurt in the past and need to trust a person before I will date him

I'm single because I'm waiting to meet a woman that we have a mutual interest in getting to know each other better. I know many Godly women whom I respect deeply, either I have no interest in getting to know them on a deeper level or they have no interest in getting to know me on a deeper level. If we can't have a meaningful conversation for more than a minute or two then there's no reason to think of looking for anything deeper in the relationship. So I trust that at the right time I'll meet a woman and we both enjoy getting to know each other. Until then I wait and I pay attention.

While I've been hurt in the past, I don't want to let fear or hurt keep me from God's blessings. Fear is the opposite of faith. I don't say this trivially, usually my healing time from getting hurt in relationships is measured in months. The idea of a relationship still scares me, but I'm trying to have faith that if I trust God that He will be with me. Key word there is "try"

2) most guys can't stand how mature I am for my age, most have said it intimidates them

3) most guys look right through me, and the ones that say I am beautiful are already taken...go figure

4) other things that seem to intimidate the guys about me: I can shoot a gun, I have seven guns next to my bed, I know how to sword fight, and they say the innocent and quiet ones are always the evil ones, but I don't bite...that hard...

5) I want a Christian guy...is that too much to ask...I should hope not

6) the guy needs to have a great sense of humor...I mean without it, how boring would that be because my dry humor can not stand by itself

7) most guys can't get me to crack out of my shell and show my true self...the thing they don't know is that if they turn on the music and we start dancing, they just cracked the shell...but no guys have figured that out about me yet

And quit overreacting. I just pointed out that you just made an unfair and sweeping generalization of men, that they prefer fake looking women. By the way, what is a fake looking girl?

And what was rude about what I said? It is only ego/vanity that will say that everyone should be attracted to oneself. Reality says that not everyone will be attracted to oneself. Yet, that in no way implies that no one will be attracted to you or that you are not attractive. Even Brad Pitt knows that.
