I dont care who you are
I dont care if you are black/white
You cannot explain how to make the sun stop rising in the morning.
I dont care who you are
I dont care if you ride the bus or if you drive a fancy car
You cannot explain how life will be after you die.
I know all kinds of people, i know the rich and i know those who are poor
They both take the same breath
they both die the same way.
Why are you cast down, o my soul, and why are you in turmoil inside me?
You cannot phatom eternity with your own mind
You cannot take back yesterday, its gone forever
You cannot prepare for tommorow, it doesnt exist yet
We all come from the womb and we all go back to the dust.
You cannot take anything with you in the next life
Not even the people you love.
I dont care who you are
I dont care if you are as dumb as a rock
I dont care if you have a fancy PHD
You cannot explain how to stop growing old
You cannot avoid becoming senile
You cannot live long enough to see the future generations.
They will never know you were here
So why does it matter?
Does it matter if i eat rice and beans
Or does matter if i fancy fruits?
I sleep on a bed
So does everyone else- rich/poor; black/white
I eat to survive
So does everyone else- male/female; young/old.
Why are you cast down, o my soul, and why are you in turmoil inside me?
Hope in God because i will praise him
My salvation and my God. Amen.
