You're not getting it.
Wouldn't be the first time for me, at least!
Of course they need to check references
Christ discipled His disciples unto their Apostleship at Pentecost...
And commissioned them to disciple all the peoples of the earth...
The 2000 year historical record of this discipling of the disciples of the discipled...
Some, mind you, call this Apostolic Succession...
It is the Record to which Prodromos is referring...
To which you rather glibly asserted:
"Of course they need to check references."
As in "Just a quick check, mind you!"
And yes, I know you are being funny - I chuckled too...
but when interpreting them, they need to check with me.
That is WHO they did check with - Master Me-me...
OK, enough tease...
Can I come back later??
let me ask you this...
OK...
do you need them more than they need you?
A TERRIBLE question!
A LONE RANGER question!
A ME-ME question...
The Faith of Christ which He discipled to His Disciples is a kata-holon Faith, an "according to the whole" Faith, a 'catholic' Faith...
And in it we all need one another... None more than others...
Tell me, what is it that a Priest does, you who claim your own priesthood?
For are we all not a priesthood in Christ?
What is the function of a Priest?
I have heard of no one claiming that a priestly function is as an intermediary standing between Christ and anyone believing in Him...
IF you claim the Faith of Christ, you must claim its priesthood,
and if you do, then I want you to tell us in what that priesthood consists...
And HOW it is carried out...
Please!
