and I reiterate the thousands of denominations are strictly from satan and his divide and conquer mentality. It is time people read the the Bible for themselve, especially the gospels and the words of Jesus and get the truth and it will make them free.
The thousands of denominations exist because people read and interpret the Bible themselves.

No it is because of false religions such as RC who make up their own doctrines which do not relate to the Bible, also the thousand of other denominations who do the same thing...the Bible is not hard to read especially the Gospels, and the words of Jesus..you should try it sometime.

The Bible is not hard to read
especially the Gospels,
and the words of Jesus..
Some of the Bible is easy to read...
Some is not...

If you want to give good advice,
advise people to be DOING the easy things the Bible instructs them to do...

For it is not the readers of the word who are saved...
But instead the saved are the DOERS of the word...

We read from, recite and kiss our Bible twice daily,
And this in our negligence...
We actually should do so eight times a day...

Our monastic brothers and sisters keep the whole of the times of the prayers...
And in this, they intercede in our behalf...
And in behalf of all the world...

4. Thyatira - The Roman Catholic Church - Beginning with Charlemagne
The Roman Catholic church was established when Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom to Peter. (Matt 16). It is the original Christian religion. It was often persecuted and underground until Constantine legalized it in 312. Charlemagne died in 814.
The prejudice against the Catholic Church is due to propaganda after Martin Luther broke away from it. The English added to it when King Henry VIII broke away. He made it illegal to practice the Catholic faith. He motivated his people to accept him as head of the Church of England by telling lies about Catholics. Also, propaganda about the Spanish inquisition and crusades started when England was fighting a war against Spain. It motivated the troops to fight against them.

  • The genesis of the Church Catholic is more generally understood on the day of Pentecost
  • The Edict of Milan is 314 and promoted a religious pluralism in the Republic.
  • I think it is a mistake to lay it all at yhe feet of Luther. Perhaps Photious and Michael Celerion might be worth a bit of a look as well
  • I think you are misrepresenting Henry VIII on a number of levels

I stand corrected. I was thinking of St Thomas More, who was killed because they would not accept Henry VIII as head of the Church of England. St John Fisher defended the Queen when Henry wanted a divorce. He was also martyred for the faith.

I am a fan of Thomas Moore, and fond of John Fisher. I believe that they stood their ground on a matter of integrity, and I suspect under the Elizabethan settlement they may both have kept their heads upon their shoulders. The great matter, namely whether the Pope had been in error or not to grant the dispensation that had allowed Henry VIII to marry Catherine of Aragon, his brother's widow, is ultimately a matter of historical speculation. Much of the matter has to do with succession which had been a major issue in the realm. Edward V was never crowned, though he did inherit the throne from his Father. Whilst we know not of his death, it is presumed by many that he was murdered in the Tower of London at the behest of his Uncle Richard III, who was later slain in the battle of Bosworth Field and and Henry Tudor took the throne by right of conquest. (1485) Henry ruled as Henry VII and his first child Arthur married Katherine of Aragon. This was the last public bedding of an English Monarch, and Arthur is reported as having said the following morning 'I have spent all night in Spain'. The claim for a dispensation on the grounds that the marriage was never consummated requires a little bit of diplomatic turning a blind eye. Certainly we know that Arthur dies without issue.

Henry VIII ascended the throne, never having expected it, he was indeed the party prince of the day - not the heir but the spare - and it is to his credit despite being ill prepared ascending to the throne at 18 his reign left England economically stronger than before. The concern for succession is clear has the fifty years previous had left England broke and vulnerable. The young Henry VIII was attractive fit and loved by all, the older Henry VIII was large demanding and feared by many.

If the Pope had acted less like a Politician, Henry may well have acted differently. It is however a great mistake to paint Henry VIII as an outright protestant, though he clearly had a concern about Pope's meddling in affairs of state, but deep down he was a mass going Catholic.

Starting with the priests.
They need to check with ME first, or start their own religions.
Which is as ridiculous as thinking anyone needs a middle-man in what is supposed to be a personal relationship. Otherwise, we are setting up Churchianity.

No, they need to check with what their forebears taught, and what their forebears' forebears taught, all the way back to the Apostles.

You're not getting it. Of course they need to check references, but when interpreting them, they need to check with me.
OK, enough tease... let me ask you this... do you need them more than they need you?

The root word of 'Protestant' is 'protest'.

The communions of Luther and Calvin were founded upon a direct reform of the Catholic Church, which they ultimately failed to do, and so became their own brand of Christianity.
